Superior import edition from Japan, released in 1998 on the prestigious Victor label out of Tokyo, this import edition featured the bonus track "Painkiller" (a cover of the legendary Judas Priest track from their 1990 album), which, arguably... once you hear it, is worth the admission price alone. The vocal delivery on this track by the late Chuck S. is nothing short of astounding. His work with Death since 1986 pioneered the death metal scene, yet... the vocal style he utilized for this one song, once again redefined metal. A death metal vocalist, nailing skyhigh notes originally intended for Rob Halford. A legendary release, by a legendary group, with the bonus track "Painkiller" making this import an essential aquisition not only for any fan of Death, but a fan of metal in general.
