Product Description

This app might need Wi-Fi connection to download top-qualified music tracks. Please make sure you have connected to Wi-Fi network.

Music Therapy for Sound Sleep is an android music application based on the famous EEG to optimize human brains. For a necessary sound sleep, Low Speed Alpha Wave set in this app will comfort your mind, assisting you to fall asleep smoothly.

Enrich Your Imagination with a Sound Mixer in the latest version!

The latest version of Music Therapy for Sound Sleep provides a group of relaxing natural sounds for you to choose and mix, creating your own fantastic ocean scenes. These sounds help enrich your imagination thus to further relax in a pleasant surroundings with ocean waves and soothing rains. It is totally up to you to customize each track with one or several ambient sounds, with volume bars separated from the main piano melodies.

Totally different from the so-called leisure music, subliminal musicembeds Alpha Wave to various musical pieces by delicately setting the rhythm to a certain frequency, while stimulating imagination with certain sound effects. Listening to the music, our sub-consciousness is awakened. It is guiding us to a brand new discovery of our potentials, to relaxation, and to creativity.

Low Speed Alpha Wave has a frequency from 8Hz to 9Hz, which stimulates a state at which one is nearly asleep and cannot think clearly. To generate such a frequency in one's mind, binaural beats are applied. For example, if the left ear is presented with a steady tone of 500Hz and the right ear a steady tone of 508Hz, these two tones combine in the brain. The difference, 8Hz, is perceived by the brain and is a very effective stimulus for brainwave entrainment.

Features:
- Tunes with Low Speed Alpha Wave
- Ambient Sound Mixer with a group of natural sounds
- Elegant interfaces and varied music themes
- Elaborate descriptions
- Increase sleep quality and relaxed state

installed because it was free. Does what it says as far as playing mediocre sound bites of rain, wind, etc. If you turn all the sounds on at once it starts sounding like a wolf in a rain storm killing a loon! hitting "pause" kills the piano but not the mixer sounds. And, on Droid 2 at least, hitting the back key on the home pad closes the app out. (Try it out, hit back, then check your running apps, shouldn't be there).
Anyway, ok quality sounds and decent setup for free...if you paid for this, sorry!

When I finally figured out that the pause button stopped just that darn piano and left the sound effects going, this became worth 5 stars.
I'm going to try this out for real when I sleep tonight since my house is so noisy and I'm really bothered by sound (not sure how the husband will take to it though).

The sound mixer is the best feature of this app, and it's an awesome pick for app of the day. Would have been worth the $2.99 if I had discovered it sooner!

The sounds are o.k., could be more choices. I find the piano to be annoying and couldn't wait to turn it off. I'll stick with Relax and Sleep...thanks.

I downloaded this app to see what the features were. I had it on my Kindle Fire but in the cloud. When it loaded I played every tune and mostly they are just water sounds and piano music which to me is not very relaxing. When I tried to turn is off it would not stop playing the music. I could not turn off the app to quit it, pause would not work, and going to the home screen would not shut it off. Delete app from my Kindle Fire worked!

Not shutting off was enough for me to delete the app. In fact it was the only thing that stopped it from playing. How could something like this have been the app of the day and still be on Amazon?

Here are the genres of the sounds you can hear:
* Graceful sea - Ocean crashing on the shore with music
* Soft daze - lapping water and piano music
* Dropping stars - lapping water and drips hitting water piano music
* Gentle presence - piano music and water
* Dance of the Gossamer - water and piano
* Floating in the city - footsteps of someone walking and piano music
* Angels of the reef - Water and piano music
* Where dreams are born - lightly lapping water and piano music

You can set the play time in hours and minutes.
You can select the play mode as:
* Single play of a track
* Repeat track
* Repeat playlist
* Default order
* Random order

You can mix special sound effects and create your own personal sleep melody by adjusting:
* Rowing
* Paddling
* Rain
* Camp fire
* Splash
* Wind
* Ocean
* Thunder
* Whale song
* Beach
* Sand walking
* Storm

Sounds Okay, but have to use task killer to shut it off. Made the mistake of buying the Deluxe Version. Save your money find another App that was completed before it was made available. Wondering if Amazon actual checks these before they accept them or are they just in it for the money?

I am a chronic insomniac. I saw this app and couldn't wait to turn it on last night. Unlike a few other reviews, I decided to give it a full night's test before writing a review that said, "You know that free app that went live half an hour ago? Well, I installed it and it put me right to sleep!"

The results. It's okay, but I don't feel like it enhanced my sleep. Primarily because the only real way to take advantage of this app is to have your earphones in. My earphones are VERY comfortable, but not so much when try to sleep. Primarily because of the earphone wires. We both just get tangled together.

I felt like it helped a little bit. I didn't stick them in my ear and feel like I got hit by a dose of NyQuil. But it did help me to get my thoughts off of the things in life that normally keeps me up. The ambient sound was nice. Nicer than the sounds that my alarm clock says does the same thing. It is nice to be able to open the mixer and adjust the sounds the way that works best for me. Well, I'll admit, I left them alone. But knowing I could adjust them is pretty nice.

If you have trouble sleeping you might want to try this. It costs about the same as a bottle of melatonin but lasts longer! :) If you sleep fine then you might want to skip this. If you want some musical stimulation while you sleep download some Mozart instead.

I downloaded this FAOTD last night to my Kindle Fire. I did not have time to play with it. I chose 3 different sounds and settled on Graceful Sea and turned the volume up a bit. Did not mess with the mixer. I did set the alarm to play birds chirping, but not the timer. I found that the piano music was rather soothing and stopped on its own after a few minutes, with just the sound of the ocean waves left. I slept so deeply that at one point, dreaming, I did not know where I was. It played all night. My dogs usually wake me up a couple of times during the night, but I was able to go right back to sleep. The alarm went off when it should. I do not know how I turned it off this morning, because I was half awake, but I did turn it off. Just now, I had to use my Task Manager to stop it. Will have to play around with that, to figure out what I did. I don't think the alarm stays set, because it wasn't when I looked at it just now. Would have given 5 stars, but for the user interface. If it is too difficult to turn it off, that should be resolved and the alarm should stay set, however, that could be user error. Other than that, I did sleep very well with it.
