While not as well known as bluegrass dobro legends Jerry Douglas and Rob Ickes, , Andy Hall is one of the "new breed" of bluegrass musicians who give us a glimpse of the future of the genre, while somehow remaining firmly rooted in tradition.Sound of the Steel Guitar is a wonderful romp. Pristinely recorded, it showcases Andy's immense talent, sensitivity, and excellent balance of chops and musicality. If you've fallen in love with dobro (as I have), this is one recording you simply must have! |
