5.0 out of 5 stars SUPER DEAL!
We bought this product with the hopes it would work for our trip to the coast in our new Denali (w/built in DVD). SURPRISE IT WORKED! Just used batteries, so you can replace as needed. Super easy on/off switch. Sound quality is superb!

2.0 out of 5 stars range is only 6' max, not good for rooms
while this is designed for vehicles, I figured it would work with my tv at home so I don't keep my wife awake. But its range is only 6', so I had to return it. Otherwise it looks ok.

1.0 out of 5 stars Annoying - not complete., July 14, 2010

I haven't used the headphones yet, but I'm giving one star regardless of how they work (eventually). They arrived with no power supply for the transmitter, just a couple of wires sticking out of it. So I have to go out and buy a 12 volt battery and some kind of connector. That is very annoying, and I don't like it AT ALL.

-- Follow-up note: I went to Radio Shack and bought a holder for 8 AA batteries and a connector (similar to a 9V battery connector). Even though I have a couple of hundred dollars worth of soldering equipment at home (for restoring pinball machines, mostly), I had to buy a soldering iron because I am out of town for an extended time on a contract job. I soldered the connector to the transmitter for the headphones, so I had a 12V battery, albeit ugly. The headphones work fine. The sound is good, no further problems. But I'm leaving the one star rating. It should have been made clear and obvious in the advertisement for the headphones that no power supply was included for the transmitter and that soldering would most likely be necessary. I would have happily paid a few dollars more for a power supply, rather than the $20 or so that I eventually had to pay.
