5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent for Kodaly educators, July 16, 2006
This review is from: Sound Thinking - Volume II: Developing Musical Literacy (Paperback)
I have used the suggested sequences in this book and had great success. The authors present the Kodaly philosophy: Prepare (Kinesthetic, Visual, Aural) Present, and Practice. They suggest that each teacher use the ideas and procedures from the program as they see fit. Includes many excellent American folksongs and games presented in sample lesson plans designed to introduce rhythmic and melodic concepts.
