The review below me is a complete joke, average voices? Are you serious? Nadine & Nicola have the singing ability of Kelly Clarkson (Nadine being better than the American Idol winner actually). Back on topic, my review:
The album is full of potential hits, it's no wonder every single the album produced went top3! The title track, and lead single, "Sound Of The Underground" topped the UK charts for over a month straight selling in excess of 500,000 coppies (gaining the prized UK Christmas number one).
If you love Pop/Rock music, you'll die for this album, literally. It's so full of fantastic mellodies and experimental sounds.
Do not, I repeat, do NOT pass aside this album simply because it is a pop act. These girls get fantastic reviews with everything they put out by absolutely every big magazine/television show; the music they make is extreamly different from anything on the market and they never fail to create new sounds.
The second single "No Good Advice" beats the first single with a wooden stick. It's grunge bassline and guitars have you moving along with the song in seconds, definately one of the strongest songs on the album.
Back to Kelly Clarkson, "Stop" sounds like anything she would make but with a special Girls Aloud twist.
Usually balads are boring and drag on, not the case on this album. "Life Got Cold" and "Don't Want You Back" are among the best tracks on the album and feature each members extraordinary vocal talent.
This album is definately worth the money, I gaurentee you won't be dissapointed. Be sure to check out their other critically acclaimed albums 'What Will The Neighbours Say?' and 'Chemistry'. Both outsold this album and have completely different sounds.
Girls Aloud have evolved into the UK's leading pop girl band of the 21st Century and with good reasons, they have gone from strenght to strength and hold the record for the most UK Top 10's a girlband has ever had.

Not your average pop band..., June 1, 2003
I have to agree, some of their songs do sound the same...but with songs like "No Good Advice" and "Life Got Cold" you can't go wrong. I love how they actually have- even somewhat poetic- LYRICS not just the basic "Ooh Baby baby do you love me" sort. I think their good lyrics make up whatever else they may lack, personally, because I've been waiting forever for a pop band to actually show us (even if they didn't write their own lyrics) that they have something decent to say. (We smoke as we choke/As we sink another Coke) and (Danger is a lazy girl with no soul/Here I am dirty hands..) If that's not enough to give a band a good rating (I mean if you can give Britney 5 Stars with her "Oops I did it again" I'm sure you can cut me some slack here)

READ/RESEARCH BEFORE YOU BUY!!!, February 20, 2007
Any potential buyers or interested fans should know that the tracklist for this item, the information provided by amazon, is incorrect. This single does not, repeat: does NOT, have 15 tracks. The correct tracklisting is provided by the seller of a used "new" copy. In fact, it is: 1. Sound of the Underground, 2. Stay Another Day, 3. Sound of the Underground (Remix). If you need further proof, look up Girls Aloud on wikipedia, and the page will provide information concerning the tracks on the single for Sound of the Underground Pt. 2.
