Don't be deceived! These are very close in soundstage to it's more expensive brother, SoundMAGIC E10. Even though the ES18 are a 3rd of the price to the "award winning" E10 they match-up pretty darn close! You get what you pay for, and then some! SoundMAGIC has been around for quite some time now, and they are definitely in it to win it! As of today, I currently own six (6) of there in-ear earphones; SoundMAGIC ES10, ES18, ES20, PL30, E10, and E30. They all perform and sound incredibly accurate! Some are bassier than others, but maintaining the incredible sonic, soundstage and details that got them recognized today! To my surprise, this is a Chinese company competing in the International market from China! They currently won an award for the E10 in 2011, and several years before PL11 in 2009. There most Internationally recognized earphones "PL30" actually has control knobs for bass response with a 3 to 4db difference.

Well? For now, let's break down the ES18 and find out what makes them sing!

Sound:
The sound is very well balanced with plenty of bass and details. They tend to sound more aggressive and raw compared to the E10, but still extremely enjoyable! While the E10 tends to sound more relaxed with a broader soundstage, details are excellent with the ES18 rolling-off just a tad-bit on the high and low-end and still maintaining great accuracy! What you get is a great listening environment that's sure to please! This will be a good buy for those seeking plenty of bass, not taking away at all from the vocals and highs! The overall balance is well defined in my book. Well, worth every penny!

Construction:
Well made for the price paid. These earphones are very affordable at a price ranging anywhere from $11.99 to $19.99.

These sound good. Nice bass. For the person who said the bass was weak and others near heard them needs to push them into the ear.
The wires will make noise not due to what they are made of or how they are made. It has to do with them being inside the ear. If they were disconnected and inside the ear the noise would stll occur as the noise of the movement of the wire is transfered to the ear. By running the cord behind your back it virtually eliminates noise from the cables
These beat the ones that came with my MP3 player. The cord does not tangle and the carrying pouch is big enough for the earbuds and the player.

Picked these up to have a cheap pair of earphone to travel with since I have a tendency to lose expensive headphone. Was extremely surprised at the sound quality for the price. Very clear tones with good bass, maybe a little too much bass for me but near as bad as most other headphones I have tried. No distortion.

The only complaint that I have and the reason for the lost star is the low quality of the cord on this style. The cord is one of the very old style headphone cords that you have to pull apart. It is very cheap feeling and doesn't have much flexibility. Tends to curl up instead of laying smooth. Aside from that the are near perfect for what I needed. This will be my goto cheap earbud from now on and am considering trying the E10 after using these for a while.

I like bass. I like me some RATM, Angels and Airwaves, Muse, etc. I've been looking for some budget ear buds to replace my VModa Deep Bass ones that started shorting out on me. I tried this some crappy cheap iLuv bass ones. Boo.

I popped these in...sounded ok. Went into Winamp, adjusted the equalizer, and voila, great sound. They still don't sound as good as the VModas (imho) but they sound pretty darn good. I'll see how they do when I mow the lawn. I want to test how well they block out the noise. I'm so excited cause I hate crappy sound and I don't want to spend much more than the $17 I spent on these. Good find!

Unbelievable good sound of that cheep headphones! Only one reason to give them 4 stars, it's a very fragile cable.

These headphones are great for the price. I use them daily at work for listening to audiobooks and music. Nice bass response and they don't bleed sound so I can listen to whatever I want without worrying about irritating coworkers.
