"Sounds Of The Brazos Valley - Unreleased Radio Broadcasts c.1952" (Flyright Records, 1997) ------------------------------------------------------------------ A great set of classic radio performances from the early 1950s, when Hank Thompson was still really playing western swing. A lot of great, slow sentimental heartsongs, too. It's great music and a fun glimpse at what he and his band sounded like 'way back when. Recommended! (DJ Joe Sixpack, Slipcue Guide To Hick Music)

THE PHOTO ON THE CASE DEPICTS THE GREAT BRAZOS VALLEY BOYS OF A FEW YEARS LATER. YOU CAN HEAR WHERE HANK WAS HEADING SWINGWISE BUT, HE WASENT THERE IN 52. DONT EXPECT THE QUALITY THAT GAVE HIM HIS BIG HITS. ALSO OVERPRICED.
