I love loons and am always on the hunt for more CDs featuring this unique bird. If you love loons as much as I do, you will also truly enjoy this CD.

Unlike most other Loon CDs I own, this one is jam packed with loon calls from beginning to end. You will also hear water lapping against the shore, plus other assorted birds in the background.

This CD is well made and I recommend it highly. It features Nature Sounds only - no human voices, no cars, dogs barking or planes and has no music at all. It's a "must have" for loon lovers.

I grew up in Maine and love the sound of loons in the quiet of night. That's the hitch with this CD. While loons mostly call at night, songbirds are quiet then. On this CD the songbirds twitter away along with the loons. WRONG!
It seems like someone decided to fill in the quiet periods with daytime birdsong.The haunting power of loon calls is at least partly due to the silence they arise from. Here there is no silence. The effect is unnatural.

I bought this cd for a friend who uses it for helping her go to sleep. She claims that it puts her out in no time, plus she loves the sounds of the loons and the occasional sounds of oars paddling through water.

I absolutely love this CD. My husband didn't know I was playing a CD and he thought it was real birds outside -- though it made no sense to him because we have no loons in our part of the country. My young son loves this too. It brings him such peace.

Whether you're in the mood to be on Golden Pond or at Crystal Lake, this CD will transport you there. It's amazing how the calls of the loon can evoke a sense of tranquility and relaxation or one of impending doom.

This is an excellent product for lovers of loons. I researched to find what sounded like it would be the best for someone looking for unadorned loon calls, and am very pleased with my choice.

While I love loon sounds, after a while this started to get on my nerves. I think you must be in a totally quiet room in order to really hear it. The sound of the Air Conditioner and other outside noises drowns out the Nature Sounds.
