I bought this CD because I didn't really know which type of sound I'd relax most too be it ocean, rain, forest, etc. Well I love all the sounds on this sampler, and I play it every night. My hubby says that 20 mins into the CD there's a rooster crowing, but I wouldn't know because by that time I'm already fast asleep. Great stuff!

This CD is recogmended if you just can not decide what to select as your Nature CD. Each song in this CD is about 3-4 minutes long and so it is not recogmended for long term use unless you plan to activate the repeat function on your player. However, what it contains is very good from frog sounds to rain sounds and mixed together you get a wonderful sleep aid that constantly changes. However if you're looking for something that repeats for 60 minutes then this is not. There are no music, it is just a CD with pure nature sounds.

This excellent compilation with excerpts from different Nature Sound albums was out of print, but is now finally available again through ONLY NEW AGE MUSIC(repackaged and remastered). This album creates a journey through different Nature scenes all recorded by Chuck Plaisance, with a special microphone that simulates human hearing. The sounds were then edited and composed, arranged and mixed like an orchestrated piece but still remain pure Sounds of Nature. Like Bernie Krause Doucet and Plaisance take essential Nature Sounds and recreate an ambience that takes you even deeper into the essence of Nature. Short selections, but on "repeat" any of them make for peaceful sleep. Well, other than the Mountain Range...The goat/sheep noises just make us laugh.

This CD has great and diverse nature sounds to help fall asleep to.

Each clip is long enough that you can set a specific track to repeat over and over.

My favorite tracks are rainstorm, the river, and waterfalls.

The product was ok. I was actually looking for something to fall asleep to, but this had occasional loud noises such as a rooster crowing and clanging thunder. It woke me up everytime!

We were enjoying the CD and when we were just about to drop off to sleep; and idoit rooster (on the CD) started crowing!! That did it.

I listen to this with my baby during play time sometimes. It lends a different sound texture to the air, rather than listening to music all the time. Sometimes she falls asleep to this CD.
