It is a decent cd to mix into all the other "more traditional" holiday cds for not the same ol' stuff year after year. It is a decent cd to mix into all the other "more traditional" holiday cds for not the same ol' stuff year after year. My favorite song and the reason I bought the cd was Jason Mraz's version of Winter Wonderland. It's nicely updated with his smooth lilty tone and bubbly annunciation. Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas by Jimmy Sommers Featuring Chris Botti is a great soft jazz instrumental. Better Days by the Goo Goo Dolls is a nice song which, if you didn't really listen to it, you might not think it was a Christmas song. But I like it whatever category you squeeze it into. Silver Bells by Gavin DeGraw is ok, nothing spectacular. A New York Christmas by Rob Thomas is a nice song to add to the mix. Santa Claus Is Coming To Town by Ray Charles is nice, big band sound, with a smooth Ray vibe. There are some other songs by well known folks--Rod Stewart, Amy Grant, Michael Bublé, Seal, Earth Wind & Fire, and Leigh Nash--but I just did not care for the songs. Leigh Nash's Mistletoe & Holly is so electronic...reminded me of the Demo mode for keyboards or organs. Rod Stewart... My Favorite Things... ugh.

So if you can get a good deal on this cd, I think there are enough redeeming songs to enhance your holiday play list.

There are some good, original songs on the cd. They are nice to add to any Christmas music collection. There are also covers of classics. There is only one song on the cd that I didn't like.
