"Sounds Of The Season" is by far one of the best sounding Lionel Richie productions in a long time. The Christmas spirit is definitely present in this holiday package.

Mr. Richie's voice is so smooth that you can literally fall into a deep trance with a smile, especially on his Sinatra-like overtone on "The Christmas Song" and the melodically driven"The First Noel". NO surprise there at all. The energy of this project seams into a timeless work of art which cannot be denied if you are a true music lover. The musical arrangements and production are extremely slick and well produced by the multi-talented Chuckii Booker. (who also serves as Lionel Richie's musical director ) Every song captures the nuance of Mr. Richie's voice but if one has to stand out, it would be "Silent Night". The old school overtones and arrangements makes this a winner instantly and is in full rotation on my playlist during the holidays.

If there is one holiday season project to get, it would be this one hands down.

After being a Lionel Richie fan for at least 23 of my 27 (28 as of 1/28/2009) years, I was thrilled to hear that he was finally recording a Christmas album. I received it as a gift 12/25/2008. I ran right up to my room and played it. The songs he chose to sing were fantastic, but the album was just too short! According to the timer on my CD player, the whole CD played for less than 30 minutes! It seemed as soon as I put the CD on, I had to turn it off before I could blink! Great effort for his first take on "Sounds of the Season," but I would definitely have liked a few more songs on the album.

This is one of the gifts I got my Mom for Christmas 2006. It's an amazing album, for music and holiday fans alike. Lionel Richie is a great artist and writer, and those involved in the production and writing of this album as well deserve the same amount of respect. A great piece of artistic work, and something that is good for a variety of music fans, a rariety these days. Music fans and holiday fans should heavily enjoy this album. Lionel fans will adore this album, as it is one of his best pieces of work to date.

As usual, Lionel did these Christmas favorites in his own, inimitable style, so needless to say I enjoyed it very much. There were two other bonuses: 1) there is a nice little saxaphone solo in "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas", and 2) when I downloaded the music from this album onto my iTunes for play on my iPod, "Just Go", Lionel's newest song and video, appeared!! So now I can listen to that one too, and watch the video. :-)

I ran to Target a couple of weeks ago&was looking for this Album&was Hyped. Lionel Richie is One of the Greatest Musical Artists Ever. the Brother is the Coolest cat in the Business Period. this Christmas Collection with some Egg Nog truly hits the spot.real Mellow well Produced&Lionel's Trademark Vocals are all on time. Great News Lionel Richie is planning on putting out more Christmas Compilations in the future. MERRY CHRISTMAS&OUTRAGIOUS Very Good Christmas Music. Santa Claus will be Grooving to this Collection from the North Pole&onward. ALL NIGHT LONG!!!!!!
