Love this album!
Remember the little changes in the music that started off the Seventies? Pop/rock started taking little twists and turns, the funk got a little funkier, the anti-war songs got quite a bit louder, and the new dance beats started filtering in - it's all here on this nice CD, with great sound too. On the whole, the Time-Life records are worth owning: most are smartly-assembled compilations of the titled genre, and this one at least has fine sound. "American Woman" is one of the last great protest rock hits and it requires careful mastering. The fine guitar segues are smooth and clear here. We do recommend this CD as a good starter for a Seventies collection.
