Great Band, Quality Recording, Excellent
This is a great variety of Umphrey's material in a very well recorded setting with excellent audio. Perhaps a more subdued experience than their typical concert (likely because it was taped specifically for TV) but it's a fantastic example of the bands amazing musical chops!!! Buy it already.

not normal UM live experience
this is not your normal UM live experience. taped for a PBS special, this one might suit the 40-&-over crowd in a pleasing way, people who have ears for classic or progressive rock and want to see these young great musicians and songwriters do their thing. the true UM experience involves a lot more improv (IMPROG) which gets heavy, thick, and complicated...

the true UM experience involves a lot more improv (IMPROG) which gets heavy, thick, and complicated fast -- this is pretty laid back, and most of the songs are straight renditions. that said, this is nice little disc and appropriate for a gathering of friends.

A no nonsense music video showcasing this brilliant group of musicians and some of their amazing pieces. Good sound and sensible camera angles let you get the most from this performance.

I love Umphrey's McGee! I've seen many of their concerts and listen to their music daily. This dvd provided a very unique experience. It showed the band in a much more personal atmosphere without the distraction of an awesome light show. The playing was very tight, similar to studio recordings with a little improvisation. Great addition to my UMPH collection.

These guys are the best, technical precison with great melodies plus improvisation. You will never hear them on the radio but well worth a listen
