Deemi is the truth! I hope her CD drops in 08. She is what R&B needs, raw gritty talent. There has NOT been a hip hop/r&b chic like this since Mary! If Mary is the Queen of Hip Hop Soul, Deemi has the skills to be the Princess of Hip Hop Soul!

This past year really hasn't brought out anything new into R&B. But while the songs from Ciara, Beyonce' and others feel like second nature, there have been a few surprises. Newcomer Deemi has really stretched her voice very well with her opening single, Soundtrack Of My Life. The song is very upbeat and strong. She has a feeling that is similar to what we've heard from Alicia Keys, and that is felt with the urban beats on this song. I really love this song on the radio, and I really am eager to see what comes up with the record. This soundtrack is really worth listening too.

This is the start of a wonderful career. She's real. I know because I grew up with her. Her words are of true ghetto grit styled out in R&B. And she is a mother of 2 children who's held her own. I'm buying her album even if I get it for free. As a producer I hope to work with her one day.
