About the Author
Michell Cabaniss is the bitter, burned-out bartender who compiled sour GRIPES Restaurant. She has twenty years experience in all facets of the restaurant business. She graduated from Colorado State University with a B.A. and intended to teach high school English but ended up slinging drinks for drunks instead. She met the designer of the book at the bar where they both worked and they collaborated to begin the sour GRIPES series. Deb is a contempory artist with a B.A. degree in fine arts.She designs a variety of media including corporate logos and posters. She is also a prolific painter. She also has worked as a bartender for over twenty years.

Sour Gripes uses a "Top Ten List" format and is a very easy read. My only complaint, really, is that some of the typefaces used are a bit diffcult to read. What was refreshing is that not only are there rants and raves about everything restaurant (customers, managers, cooks, etc.) but some excellent solutions to both guest and restaurant worker problems.
