5.0 out of 5 stars Great for Allergies!
Histamine is a major ingredient in a recipe for allergy symptoms. Quercetin tells the body to not bother producing histamine in the presence of the allergens. The results of taking quercetin can be quite calming and can create a physical sense of serenity all the while seriously reducing any allergic response to pollen (for example). 3.0 out of 5 stars Be aware of the ingredients
A good product at a good price, but be aware that the capsules contain corn products while the otherwise-identical tablets do not. The tablets may be a better solution for people who need a hypoallergenic product. (They were for me!)

Two or even three times a day (with or without food) during peak allergy season works wonders for me. Can't recommend this particular product highly enough!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Helps with Allergies, August 9, 2008

When allergy season starts, I get pretty miserable and stay that way for a long time.

I've found that once I've taken this for a while, everyday, that my allergy symptoms diminish.

It's not a magic bullet, because there are times when I do get sneezing fits and whatnot. Overall, however, things are a lot better while I am taking quercetin.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works Great for Allergies!, July 13, 2009

I have used this brand of Quercetin for years to control my allergies. It has always worked well. Perhaps the other reviewer didn't take enough? At times, when I am having a big attack, like when visiting a friend's house with cats, I can take 4 or 5 and within 20 minutes my symptoms subside. When I know I am going to be near allergens, I take 3-4 ahead of time, and am usually symptom free. I highly recommend it. But make sure you take enough to find the dose that works!!! Can't take too much, since it is water-soluble. So much better than OTC drugs.

5.0 out of 5 stars AQ Cured My Severe Seasonal Allergies!, December 3, 2007

Recommended to me by Dr. Weil. Cutting out all dairy, and taking Activated Quercetin daily, has cured my severe seasonal allergies. For two years I have been sneeze and pharmaceutical free. Every person is different, but it worked for me.

4.0 out of 5 stars Dose Info, May 9, 2011

I've taken Quercetin from various brands for about two years. My problem was occasional outbreaks of hives, rather than seasonal allergies, but I do think it has helped. I've noticed that mosquito bites now disappear in the same night or next morning, rather than lasting two or three days. Anyway, I thought others might want to know the nutritional info on the bottle.

In my 200 Tablet bottle, 1 serving is 1 gram Quercetin per 3 tablets, so 333 mg per 1 tablet.
3 tablets also contain:
vitamin C 646 mg
magnesium 50 mg
bromelain 300 mg
quercetin 1 gram

Some other reviews have indicated that you can't take too much of this supplement. However, I've read about side effects and drug interactions with bromelain, so it's a good idea to read up on those before taking bromelain.

5.0 out of 5 stars Quercetin Provides Relief for Eczema, June 18, 2011
By
For years, I suffered from mild to severe eczema rashes on my arms. The source was never diagnosed. I tried to relate it to excessive sun exposure, laundry detergent, contact with plants (I do know tomato leaves cause me irritation). Nothing except strong doses of hydrocortisones seemed to provide relief, and I never knew when an outbreak would occur. Then a doctor alerted me to the benefits of quercetin. I was skeptical. But I have to say, two years later and I have had NO eczema outbreaks. Quercetin is certinly no substitute for fast acting antihistamines like Benadryl(R). Use that for acute alergic reactions. But for me, I am convinced that daily (1000mg) doses of quercetin is a great supplement to my daily multivitamin.

It's great to find health store quality at Amazon, but at reduced price. I always check my health finds with Amazon resources and save a lot of money. The product greatly assists my reactions to allergies, and reduced growth of pre-cancer skin tissue.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works well in combination to combat allergies, January 7, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
i have a collapsed immune system. so i take a combination of activated quercetin... 6 capsules three times per day. plus, i take 10 grams or more of vitamin c and 1800 mgs of NAC (n-acetyl-cysteine). if you want a good vitamin c try solaray's reacta-c, alcer's emergen-c packets including their multivitamin packs.

anyway, quercetin is not only good for allergies but it can be used with other immune supporting supplements to combat any lingering reactions.

it does take time to get the body's mast cells under control and calm the immune response. my advice is to begin a regimen of allergy products like the ones i described above when you are not having many allergy problems. then by the time your allergy season arrives, like in spring, you'll have a good foundation to keep allergies at bay. you can also increase your quercetin, vit c, and emergen-c packets to help with your allergies.

if all else fails , go see a naturopathic doctor... it worked wonders for me.

thank you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for sinus problems, August 17, 2011

I have autoimmune problems and my sinuses were a real mess. I couldn't breathe hardly at all and I was constantly reaching for tissues. With the Activated Quercitin I can get some air in and I'm not constantly reaching for tissues. Anti-histimines and decongestants deal with the problem after it has happened and I've had a number of side effects from them. I've had no side effect from Activated Quercitin, and it helps prevent the histimine reaction from occurring in the first place. I'm not symptom-free, but I'm MUCH better, and I've gotten more relief from Activated Quercitin than anything else I've tried.
