Her doctor wants her to take folic acid before during and after pregnancy and her prenatal vitamins throughout her life even after pregnancy to replenish lost calcium from her bones. Milk production is not easy thing to do her doctor says in a way. Folic acid promotes genetic and cell reproduction so baby and mommy grows healthy.
