Finally! Relief from anxiety and panic attacks!,

I used to take prescription meds for my anxiety. After all the nightmares, I tried natural remedies on my own without luck and with some unfavorable side effects. At the advice of my naturopath, I started taking these L-Theanine pills. At lower doses I don't feel much other than a slight elevation of calm about an hour later. But at 400-800 mg a day, I can curb my horrible anxiety. The biggest bonus is there are no risks, no side effects! It doesn't get rid of my anxiety completely, but it makes it so much more manageable! It brings it to a point where I can reason with myself and talk myself out of it - something anyone with real anxiety disorder knows is pretty much impossible to do!

L Theanine Dramatically HELPS with Anixiety/Panic Disorder,

I was diagnosed with severe panick anxiety disorder. Please try l-theanine. Take 800-1600 mg per day (My doctor reccomended it to me, since I refused to take lexipro or xanax) This stuff really works when taking at least 800mg per day. The pills come in 200mg, so that is 4- 8 pills per day. I usually take 6 pills per day. You can get 120 pills on amazon subscription for $25.00 =) Hope this helps. This does not relieve ALL of the anxiety, but it makes my life manageable. It is really great stuff.

This is an amazing product for countless reasons. People with depression, ADD, ADHD and I believe OCD as well could benefit from the use of this product. You may notice that it's in Guava-jackfruit vitaminwater but at only 5 mg not much is gonna happen there. At 200 mg this product is proven to produce dopamine and GABA in the brain, and lower tension. I have ADD/OCD and night terrors (a type of restless sleep of a psychological origin) and I take one before I go to bed and it does wonders.This product's anxiety reliving effects can be felt within 30 minutes to an hour of consumption of a single capsule. This L-Theanine supplement is all natural and derived from the tea plant (Camellia sinensis). L-Theanine crosses the blood brain barrier, and it increases dopamine and GABA levels in the brain which result in a relaxed, steady mood, which also inhibits the stimulatory properties of caffeine.

I was hypothyroid and my doctor decided to double my dose of medication, I did not know you are not supposed to do that I found out quick. The over medication made me hyperthyroid which is more dangerous, I only say this to let people know who has hyperthyroidism, this stuff works. Hypers get very shaky and get palps of the heart. Within 1 hour of taking this I feel the calm rush over me.
I take it almost every day just once and occassionaly I take one a few hours before bed and I seem to sleep a little better. I have been using Source Naturals for years and they are the best. I use MSM it is the highest quality.

I've been taking benzo's to sleep for years now. Benzo's mixed with everything under the sun including melatonin and almost every sleeping pill there is out there. I've tried it all. A friend mentioned this and I did a little research to see what it was about. I bought the 200mg dose bottle and slept like a baby for the first night in years. Still, I was skeptical, maybe I had just wished it to work well I tricked myself into making it work. Well, I'm two weeks in and I've been sleeping great at night. I take it about 30mins before I go to sleep and I wake up feeling great! I've started taking it during the day to see if it'll impact my every day life. I notice that I'm much more relaxed and able to concentrate better. I don't know if that's an effect of me sleeping better or the pills, but either way it's a positive thing. I have no idea how the other reviewers said they couldn't notice any effects. That being said, it isn't a chemical/forced feeling like with sleeping pills - you're just _relaxed_. A truly wonderful product!
Update: Just thought I'd update since it's been about a month of using L-theanine almost every day. If I stop taking it for one day my sleeping problems occur again that same night. I find I get better sleep and feel better during the day if I take a pill during the day and night rather than just when I'm going to bed. Completely worth the money - this is something I would recommend to anyone who has sleeping problems related to anxiety (or just for anxiety in general!).

I dont have ADD or ADHD but I purchased these after the idea that Japan uses L-Theanine to help ADD children. I need as much help as I can get for college and I am willing to give anything a try. I've been taking these for two weeks now and I have seen an improvement in my study habbits. I am able to study for long hours (4 to 8 hours) with little to no breaks. I used to spend around 20 minutes studying before I got easily distracted or bored and found myself hours latter doing someting else and not studiying. I havent really notice much on stress since I'm not much of a stresser. But so far I have not found any side effects of any thing upsetting. I will continue to use them until I see any negative effects. I take two pills, one in the morning, the other in the afternoon of right before I go to school.

I take 200 mg of L-Theanine every day in a split dose--morning and afternoon. Today, I missed taking both, and the difference in my reaction to even the smallest stressor is marked. I knew it worked, but I didn't realize just how well it worked.
Entirely by accident, I discovered that taking one capsule of L-Theanine with one-half of a 200 mg caffeine tablet gives me the best effects of both. My memory is more reliable, I am more energetic, and I'm also more easygoing. I'd added the caffeine back into my daily supplements without considering anything else I was taking. About two weeks after doing so, it occurred to me that taking both together might be counterproductive, so I spent some time with a search engine to see if anyone else had done something similar. I suffer from Anxiety and PTSD. In combination with Asperger Syndrome I have allot of trouble coping with stress and keeping my mind on things I want to learn. I usually use Meditation to cope, which helps allot, but it's difficult to relax enough to do that while in the middle of anxiety. Problem I have is that I can't take Medications for this because the side effects are often worse than the problem. I read that L-Theanine creates the same effects in the mind as a meditative state so I bought this. Taking between 1 and 2 Grams a day, I still experience stress, but it affects me differently. I was also able to focus on my work. In the one month since taking it, I learned 2 programming languages, (Visual Basic .NET and C# .NET) and now I am learning XNA, DirectX, Assembly, and even creating 3D Models for my own 3D games! I would never have been able to focus that well for so long without burning myself out before. This literally solved almost all of my problems. Taking it to help me sleep, well, that didn't work out so well. It stopped racing thoughts, and made me calmer, but didn't actually "sedate" so it had only a minimal benefit for sleep. But because it didn't sedate I was able to use it more when working. It's immune system enhancing effects are also of significant benefit to me. When I was 10 years old I suffered from Scarlet Fever. I was not properly diagnosed so didn't get any antibiotics for a few months. Left untreated I didn't recover at all and when they finally put me on antibiotics they put me on them for a whole 6 months. So now, because I had Scarlet Fever for almost a whole year, and because I was given too many antibiotics, I usually have a very very bad reaction to a Strep Infection and antibiotics never work for it because my body developed a resistance to most of the really strong ones. Well, I caught Strep again this month. But I didn't get the same bad reaction. I had allot of coughing, hot flashes, etc. I still got sick. But it wasn't as serious as it usually is. In fact, I have NEVER had the Strep before so insevere. I wouldn't go so far as to say Theanine would keep me from getting sick, but taking it seemed to improve my ability to recover from sickness. The only downside I noted was when going to the Gym. It was actually more difficult to maintain a focus for pushing myself to lift more or run faster. I don't think the Theanine itself inhibited physical performance in any way, but the calm mind finds it difficult to have the will to be anything but calm. With that being the only downside I found myself taking more when I felt I needed it, without having to worry about taking too much. I think all the Prescription Drugs to combat the problems I have can be replaced by L-Theanine. Sadly, I ran out in less than a month. But it was worth every penny and I'll be buying more.

When I got to bed I lay there and my mine stared to wonder and I think about everything imaginable so when I got the l- theanine it helps my mine relax and I sleep so good all night long there is no affects' that's the best part about this. I take I tablet its recommends 2 per night but one works. I so recommend this to any one who cant sleep because they are just thinking of things they can do thought out the day or just to help you get a good night sleep and yes its safe. Yes the price was very good compare to other store 2 for the pice of one. In Texas

I've been taking L-Theanine for over a year and it has really helped reduce my stress, anger and anxiety. I have a rather disfunctional family situation in which my brother and sister make my life a living hell. Before I started taking L-Theanine I would get stressed out and very angry over things my brother and sister would do and say, sometimes the arguments would really become heated and I would have problems sleeping at night - tossing and turning until 3 or 4am...
After taking L-Theanine for a few days I found my stress level decreasing and I no longer got upset when I found my brother and sister had left huge piles of disgusting dirty dishes in the kitchen sink or leaving the bathroom dirty. Another thing that I noticed was my stress, anger and anxiety was slashed by at least 90% when I take L-Theanine with one can of organic pumpkin each day... Something in the pumpkin really enhances the effect in me and I find myself calm, cool and able to think clearly and I sleep really easy at night. |
