Labeling standards for resveratrol tablets are inadequate. I spent way too much time researching this issue. The maker of this product obfuscated their labeling. The labeling on the front claims 40 mg Total Resveratrol. The detailed label on the back claims 20 mg for Serving Size: 2 Tablets. That's only 10 mg resveratrol per tablet. This is also viewable on their web site.

The detailed Source Naturals back label, also replicated on the Source Naturals web site, shows a confusing medley of other ingredients. They've added root extract that bring up "Total Resveratrols" to 80 MG for a 2-tablet serving. Yet Source Naturals claims only 10 mg resveratrol per pill just below that. The pills also contain hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, maltodextrin, colloidal silicon dioxide, and magnesium stearate and provide a little calcium to boot (159 mg for the 2-tablet serving).

The too-good-to-be-true low cost of these tablets is just that. No wonder resveratrol products are marketed by extolling the health benefits of a mysterious ingredient that is only present in small amounts. One needs an unabridged dictionary, calculator and multiple-monitor workstation to figure it out. If we want calcium, we can get 600 mg calcium pills for much less.

What I also found out about resveratrol surprised me. We should be looking for a trans-resveratrol supplement, not merely resveratrol. Trans-resveratrol is the active form, remaining active only when kept from sun, light and oxygen. The studies indicating the multiple heath benefits we're after are based on trans-resveratrol. I believe this makes consideration of the Source Naturals offering moot.

I purchased this product believing it was the real deal. I even had it briefly as a subscription purchase. If you've wasted money on mislabeled products, know you're not alone.

the packaging has changed but the "Source Naturals" "Resveratrol" I received has 159 mgs of Calcium, 10 mg of sodium, and only 20mg of Resveratrol. I feel this was deceptively advertised. If I wanted Calcium I would have bought a Calcium supplement. The Labeling should be Calcium (the main ingredient) not Resveratrol.

Rip off -- only 20mg per capsule. Gimme a break. Sending it back.

Deceptive product, that is dosed way too low. Yes, resveratrol is expensive to produce, and yes there are a lot of products out there that will try to sell you a low dose so they can make money. You would have to take more than 10 pills to get the same amount of trans resveratrol as some of the other choices on amazon. So if you are concerned about your health, get a product with a better dose, like 500mg, not 40!

I like it, and we trust the Source Naturals brand with its listed potency of the resveratrol ingredient. Shipping is also free from DAB.

I've previously tried Longevinex which is much more expensive and has a very strange oily consistency inside of the capsules. These are solid tables with little filler that smell like grains, probably from grape seed. It does not upset my stomach, which is great, too.

Resveratrol is the 25 year cure with many positive interactions with health maintenance and interrupting the disease process that make it essential, especially for adults over 30 when aging begins to occur.

What I received was not the same product that is pictured here. The Source Naturals Resveratrol product pictured here is something I have bought before. The main ingredient in that product is resveratrol from the root of Polygonum Cuspidatum (Japanese Knotweed). There are no red grape skins in that particular product, and there are 40 mg of resveratrol in each tablet (as the front of the bottle states).
However, Source Naturals puts out a different Resveratrol product that contains red grape skins as well as Japanese Knotweed. That product has a picture on the front that includes, appropriately enough, a picture of red grapes. That is the product that I received.
There is nothing wrong with red grape skins, mind you, but what I wanted to buy was Japanese Knotweed, not red grape skins. I had reasons for that.
The product pictured here is not the product I received, so I was not happy.

I tried this for its supposed benefits that are still very little understood and unproven at this point. Besides the weird smell and taste that it has, I didn't have any problems with this supplement. I haven't tried other Resveratrol supplements, but I'm thinking unless they are capsules, they'd probably have the same smell and taste regardless.

Before getting too excited about this product and the price for 120 tablets, consider the dosing. Two tablets twice a day - so this is a 30 day supply.

I feel great and would highly recommend this product....I have tried many vitamins and herbs to feel good and renew my enery.....this product worked for me and the price is right....taking two pills in the morning and two later before dinner..has worked for me...simple...all the people around me have gotten sick with colds and I have not....not sure if it is because of resveratrol, but I would say yes, yes, yes....I will be ordering this product again.....believe I usually will try something once and say it's okay but I will not re-order...but this time it's two thumbs up.....you don't have to spend a lot of money either.....

I don't feel any younger... but this was a good deal for me to try out.
