Source Naturals may not rate as high as Earthrise or the Hawaiian Spirulina powders on the market but this is good organic Spirulina powder in a child-resistant hard plastic bottle. No fillers or additives and Amazon presently offers a good deal on it. I encourage people to use superfoods like Spirulina to maintain or reclaim their health and this product is a good value.

I first bought this product a year ago. The spirulina was a deep emerald green color and smelled a bit like the ocean. I then reordered a couple of days ago. It's now a yellow-green color and tastes more like grass. I'd rank the first incarnation a 5 and the most recent one a 2.

I add the spirulina powder in the green smoothies that I make and drink each day. I add fresh garden and wild greens with some fresh or frozen fruit and then a tablespoon of the spirulina powder and blend in a blender until smooth and creamy. Great!

This is a great bargain. Low price for so much product. This doesn't stick to my mouth like all the other Spirulina products I've tried. It doesn't smell bad like most, though, as mentioned above, it still tastes like the algae it is! Recommend mixing it into soups (not too hot, or you could destroy the enzymes). I even mix it with grean salads. Not recommended with yogurt, as it is very strong tasting (ruined my peach yogurt LOL).

Easy to mix, by the way.

I mix this into my fruit an veggie smoothies to add some nutrition to my diet. It makes smoothies a cool dark green and doesnt affect the taste. I mix Whey,casien, or egg protein into my smoothies depending on time of consumption and have noticed a slight gain in fat loss and muscle gain since adding this to my diet. Also my energy levels seem to have a nicer longer boost about 5 days after i started taking this. Cant wait to add chlorella to my smoothies

I was excited to find such a great deal on organic spirulina, as I add it to my green smoothies in the morning. I was disappointed, however, because it has a lot stronger and more intense taste than the (pricier) spirulina I had been using. So as a result I add less to my smoothies, and get less of the benefit. I also was surprised to see its color, which was not the vibrant, beautiful blue-green I'm used to with spirulina. It's just dark green. I don't know if that means anything as far as quality/freshness, but I miss the beautiful color the other spirulina turned my smoothies!

I like this product. I have been using it for the past eight months or so and will continue to do so.

I searched all over the internet and this is the best price I have found for spirulina powder. I use it for making fish food, and the fish seem to enjoy it.
