Book Description

March 9, 1994

For those who grieve, he offers comfort. For those who struggle, he offers rest. For those overcome by pain, he offers hope and healing. To those who carry emotional burdens too large for them to bear, Christ offers his strength.

In The Source of My Strength, Dr. Charles Stanley talks honestly about his own journey through emotional pain and points readers toward the wellspring of strength. He shares his own experiences with grief and shows readers how to overcome the pain, understand the burdens, confront memories, and discover the courage and strength to live freely in God's love for them. Written from the heart, The Source of My Strength is one of Dr. Stanley's most personal and triumphant books.

By A Customer
This review is from: The Source Of My Strength Relying On The Life-changing Power Of Jesus Christ To Heal Our Wounded Hearts (Hardcover)
and if you purchase one book this year, as a Believer or non-Believer, let this be it. If you are seeking answers for deeply troubling circumstances or challenges that affect your life you will find trustworthy and concise guidance here. Source of My Strength is a nourishing meal for the hungry. This changes our perceptions by working gently and deeply within us; by offering words of true comfort and also ways to cope and heal that do finally ease us and lighten the load.

Each chapter deals with a different life challenge: The table of contents offers: Words of Comfort and Healing To 1) Those who are Lonely, 2) Those who are Fearful, 3) Those who are suffering from Abuse, 4) Those feeling Inferior, 5) Those who are struggling under the weight of Guilt, 6) Those who are Frustrated, 7) Those who are Burned Out, 8) Those who are being Persecuted.

This book is not at all trite self help or stereotypical mush - it delivers real help. Been there bought 'em all. Give Source of My Strength to yourself or someone for whom you care.

5.0 out of 5 stars ENJOYABLE AND EASY TO FOLLOW, June 30, 2001
By
Charles Stanley's "The Source of My Strength" is simply wonderful. It was easy to follow and understand, and his examples were great. I especially liked the way he conveyed his feelings for Christ by creating imagery in the minds of the readers/listeners (I got the audio book, unabridged).

Mr. Stanley offers biblical principles that will help you discover your liberty in Christ so you can live fully and freely every day.

Get this! You won't be sorry!
