The best tortoise book for South African readers,
By Douglas Swanson (South Africa) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The South African tortoise book: A guide to South African tortoises, terrapins, and turtles
After many years of searching for a book on tortoises which is relative to the South African environment, this book appears on the bookshelves. It covers a wide range of subjects with many clear, colourful photographs. I keep a number of the Padloper and Angulata species which have kept me entertained over the years and this book has been "my bible" when it comes to looking up information on them, such as: How to treat an unwell tortoise and information on breeding and the numbering system for keeping track of them. This book is a must for anyone who has tortoises as pets.
