This review is from: South Beach Sounds Miami Music Week, Vol. 1 (DVD)
South Beach Sounds: Miami Music Week, Vol 1 is a dvd / Cd combination that has a mouth watering title that sells itself. The only problem is that through-out the dvd, they interview famous dj's and ask them how they like Miami and all the events happening during this week. It's like they are trying to convince you how amazing Music week. Word of advise to the producers of this dvd, no one needs to be convinced that if you combine, sun, sand, high heels, thongs, sexy bodies,ice-cold freshly made mojitos and the best well known dj's of the world to party on South Beath, there is no doubt that Miami Music week is amazing! I don't need to spend money on a dvd to be convinced of that. The concept is great but his dvd was an insult to what really could of been created with more creativity and talent. I felt like I was watching an informercial on coming to party on South Beach. They throw in a video clip on a street artist spray painting a dj on a canvas. After I realized that I wasted my time and money on the dvd, I was ready to see if I at least had a good cd. The cd is average but after the dvd, I was convinced that if I wanted to hear good music I had to drive to South beach, wait in line and get into a club to dance to a famous dj.
I do not recommend South Beach Sounds at all. I don't even think I would give this away to a friend, it's embarrassing and does not entertain. Maybe it could be used as an advertisement for the travel industry for Miami Beach but nothing else. I wish they would of done a much better job on this project because I would of loved not to feel like I wasted my money on this crap! Sorry to the producers of this dvd but you failed on this one for sure!
