These work great for most of my poles, just push them into the ground and set the pole into it. I got mine from Wal-mart for just under $2 apiece. Not sutable for larger poles, but work great for the panfish poles my family uses most often.

it's heavy duty, i guess, but a little on the small side. and the stake is not very long. need some pretty solid ground to stick it into. it probably won't work well on the beach or a soft shore.

I bought 2 of these. They work fine with a standard sized fishing rod.

These rod holders work well -- just make sure the soil is firm enough to hold the rod until you can get to it!
One con -- they really should be painted with a bright color, as they are difficult to see in low light and darn near impossible to see at night.

Got the rod holder along with an Abu Garcia Bruiser fishing combo. I was tempted by the 5 Dollars low price but I was ultimately disappointed as the item is way too small for the rod and even the base is too short to keep it standing in a sand beach.

I would not recommend this unless you own a small kid's fishing rod.

I guess they are okay , Because I have not used yet . They are about 12.5 in long .

This would be a much more useful ad if you included the dimensions of the holder. I am afraid to buy it without knowing that. Looks like a good product but you just can't tell how big it is. Tal Leverett
