Editorial Reviews

Review

'At the very moment when South Melbourne has been abolished as a municipality and Prince Henry's blown up and Albert Park is being turned into a motor racetrack, here is a brilliant history of the suburb that explains the multi-ethnic, multi-class intensity of local loyalty and why these 'improvements' are being resisted like nothing else in history.' -- Noel McLachlan, The Age
