Episode Descriptions - Season 7,
This review is from: South Park: The Complete Seventh Season (DVD)
"South Park" is the bomb digity. And with Season 7 it only gets better. Cartman is my favorite character because he is so mean and fat.
There's a total of 15 episodes from Season 7: Cancelled First aired: 3/19/2003 In the 100th episode, the boys find out that Earth is actually a reality series for an outerspace planet that will soon be canceled. Krazy Kripples First aired: 3/26/2003 Jimmy & Timmy join the crips and the rest of the boys "just stay out of this one." Toilet Paper First aired: 4/2/2003 The boys TP their art teacher's house and won't fess up to their crime. I'm A Little Bit Country First aired: 4/9/2003 Mr. Garrison tells his students that there is walkout scheduled today to protest the war. Fat Butt and Pancake Head First aired: 4/16/2003 Cartman's hand become's a pop singing sensation, named Jennifer Lopez and gives the real JLo a run for her money when she gets a music contract and steals her boyfriend, Ben Affleck. One of SP's best eps! Lil' Crime Stoppers First aired: 4/23/2003 The boys offer their services as "junior detectives." Red Man's Greed First aired: 4/30/2003 The boys along with Stan and Kyle's parents go to the Three Feathers Indian Casino. South Park is Gay! First aired: 10/22/2003 Metrosexuality is at its peak in this SP ep. Christian Rock Hard First aired: 10/29/2003 When Cartman finds out that his Christian rock group can never earn a "platinum" award because they sing Christian music he goes berserk. Another SP best! Grey Dawn First aired: 11/5/2003 The seniors are the focus of this ep when they start running down people because they drive for sh*t. Casa Bonita First aired: 11/12/2003 Kyle decides to invite Butters to his birthday celebration. When Cartman finds out that he's not invited and that it will be at Casa Bonita he develops an elaborate scam so he can attend. Another AWESOME ep!! All About the Mormons? First aired: 11/19/2003 A new student teaches Stan about the Mormon religion. Butt Out First aired: 12/3/2003 The subject of smoking is discussed in this ep when non-smoking activist "Rob Reiner" visits the town. Raisins First aired: 12/10/2003 The boys visit Raisins. What is Raisins? Hooters for children. It's Christmas in Canada First aired: 12/17/2003 Ike is taken away by his birth parents and it's up to the boys to get him back.

South Park only for those who have humor,
This review is from: South Park: The Complete Seventh Season (DVD)
South Parks comedy is simply hysterical. You find yourself saying this is so wrong while your on the floor laughing. It's shows like this that grab not only our attention, but show us just how insane the world we live in is. Because we all know the only reason one wouldn't like it, is because the boys of South Park rip on you, your family and your ideas and religious beliefs...which tend to be hysterical in their own part. So if you're able to laugh at others and most importantly yourself, the South Park seasons are by far a great buy. And if you don't buy it then your Dum dum dum dum dum.....

Another off the wall and hilarious season of South Park,

By the time South Park entered it's seventh season (beginning with it's 100th episode), it was clear that creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone had no plans of toning things down. The historic opening episode "Canceled" found the series hitting a milestone with it's 100th episode, as Stan, Kyle, Cartman, and Kenny learn that Earth and everything about it is a reality show for aliens, and it's about to be canceled. This episode isn't the funniest the series has to offer, but it sure has it's moments ("suck my jag-on!!!"). Later on, handicapped kids Timmy and Jimmy join a gang, kind of; as well as an instant classic with "Christian Rock Hard", in which Cartman creates a Christian rock group. Of course, the standout episode of season seven is "Fat Butt and Pancake Head" when Jeniffer Lopez and Ben Affleck come to town when Cartman's JLO hand puppet gets a record contract. "Raisans" will leave you with your jaw hanging open, as a Hooters-like restaurant chain comes to South Park, only it's for kids. There was no shortage of creativity in the seventh season of South Park, and while it may score some misses here and there; for the most part it's another off the wall and ungodly hilarious season of everyone's favorite potty-mouthed pre-adolescents.

south park rocks, but not the sound quality,
By
This review is from: South Park: The Complete Seventh Season (DVD)
the seventh season of south park is just as fantastic as seasons 1 through 6. this dvd, however, has exceptionally poor sound quality. I'd wait with buying it until this has been corrected by the company, as at times, it is almost impossible to make out what's happening sound-wise - and half the fun of south park is in the sound!

The First Great Season,
By
This review is from: South Park: The Complete Seventh Season (DVD)
I have read the reviews about this being just an OK season, and some have called it the last truly funny year of South Park. In my opinion it's the exact opposite. I feel that season 7 is where South Park became an intelligent animated comedy and lost the "poo poo-pee pee" humor that had originally made it famous; similar to when the Simpsons realized that "Don't Have a Cow Man!" wasn't going to carry it much further and remade itself into a smarter show. Within this season are the beginnings of the genius that was to ultimately manifest itself in the first few episodes of season 8 (which in my opinion is the pinnacle of South Park). Season 7 has "Faith Plus One," Cartman's christian rock band, the Casa Bonita episode, the introduction of the goth kids who think everything in life is "paaain," and the all-time, hands-down, greatest episode the show ever produced: the Mormon episode where they present the story of the Book of Mormon as a musical. Even my grandmother loved that episode, and she winches from even the slightest profanity. All in all, this is the FIRST season of SP that I will buy because it has such replay value. The earlier ones are great too, but seeing little cartoon kids cuss and swear is only funny for so long. After a while, I want some substance with my filth.

The sound is bad - wait for the repressing!,
By Jake (Portland, OR) - See all my reviews
This review is from: South Park: The Complete Seventh Season (DVD)
I love South Park as much as the next person, but the sound on this set is absolutely terrible, especially on the first disc - it goes from loud to almost inaudible and back. I found it incredibly distracting, especially since I love this show. I called Paramount, who admitted there was a problem and that they're working on repressing the set (sidenote: they took my number down but have yet to call me back regarding a refund).
Long story short: wait until you're sure the problem has been fixed before spending your money.

First job was at the real "Casa Bonita" in Colorado.... can't wait!,

I thoroughly love this show and always find it entertaining. Having grown up in Colorado, their insights into the bizarre landmarks & routines have always been spot-on- especially in the "Casa Bonita" episode. If you've never been to this landmark (which is STILL OPEN, thank god), you must go. This was my first job, and was especially pleased that they called it out; the humor, animation, "bad bart's cave", and everything else made me laugh in histerics for months.

Great season,
By
This review is from: South Park: The Complete Seventh Season (DVD)
As far as I'm concerned the 6th season is when South Park took a turn for the better, and the 7th just improves on how the show changed. Most people who talk bad about this show only saw the early season (which I also love) but you can't help but admit the show has matured and still keeps the childish humor. Afterall, the whole point of the show is to view our society through the eyes of a child which sometimes makes things more straight forward. Whats most suprising is that although it seems to judge everyone equally, as the show goes on it seems all to apparent that their main aim for attack are all the liberals (which can be justified by how much conservatives get ripped on nowa days). I am liberal but can still laugh at myself and the way some of my friends act sometimes. Too often this show is judged to be something its not, people just don't look close enough. It really is intelligent and creative, and only gets better when you get into the 8th season (one of the most consistenly funny set of episodes in any season, any show). Only Trey Parker and Matt Stone can get away with making a show that will literally talk about anything, no matter who it offends, and still make us laugh.

"Dude, I have no idea what we're seeing right now, but I have a feeling it's really, really wrong"----Stan,

This review is from: South Park: The Complete Seventh Season (DVD)
Season 7 of South Park has several of my all-time SP favorites: Cancelled, Fat Butt & Pancake Head, Christian Rock Hard, Casa Bonita, and Raisins. The others are pretty good, too, although a few go a little overboard in typical SP style. Trey Parker and Matt Stone continue to demonstrate how up they are with current events. Maybe it's the style of the animation that allows them to capitalize so quickly on news stories but, as soon as something breaks out in the world, you can be sure there will be a SP episode about it!
"Cancelled": The boys find themselves in a "Cartman Gets an Anal Probe" repeat and believe is has to due with the "hoopajoob" up his fanny. A scientist discovers it is a satellite dish that transmits Earth into a universal reality program. When the Fogul Network finds out the earthlings know they are on television, they cancel the show after 100 episodes (a jab at SP, itself, which is approaching its 100th ep.). It is up to the boys to convince the network execs to save their planet from cancellation. Their encounter with the execs is the funniest part. They take them to a restaurant and ogle the females ("Will you look at the hekmars on that joozinek!"), take them to a nudie bar and snort "block," and an adult hotel where the two execs suck each others' "jagons" and stick their fingers in each others "threshers" (don't ask). "Krazy Kripples": They really pushed the envelope with this one. Jimmy resents Christopher Reeve because he was not born a cripple but is milking his condition for attention. Jimmy and Timmy start a group called the "Crips" for those born crippled. Of course they get involved with the other group by that name and accidentally cause an accident at the "Ribs-N-Gas" (now that's wrong), resulting in the deaths of several Bloods. Meanwhile, Reeve is obsessed with dead fetuses for his recovery. The boys do the smart thing by staying out of the controversy all together. "Toilet Paper": The boys TP the art teacher's house and Officer Barbrady goes on a crusade to find the perpetrators initiating the help of TP mastermind Josh Myers. Meanwhile, Kyle has a guilty conscience and has nightmares about the incident (the art teacher takes on the form of Nancy Kerrigan "Whyyyy". The last scene is a bit contrived. "I'm a Little Bit Country": The town is divided over the war and Cartman forces himself into a flashback to find out what the Founding Fathers thought about the issue. "Fat Butt & Pancake Head": Hilarious! Perhaps the best SP ever! Cartman wins a cultural diversity contest by turning his hand into a Jennifer Lopez puppet. After making a music video at the mall, music execs at BHI records (BHE would have been funnier. it sounds like "bi*chy") decide to fire the real J-Lo and hire Cartman's hand. J-Lo wants revenge especially after Ben Affleck falls in love with the hand (um...yeah). The funniest part is that the hand sings only about tacos. "Lil' Crime Stoppers": The boys form a SP crime unit and try to help a girl retrieve her stolen doll. They clash with kids playing FBI but outsmart them. After solving the case, the boys are made junior detectives and get more work than they bargained for. "Red Man's Greed": Kyle's dad loses his house at an Indian casino: "Their cash flows like diarrhea from the buffalo." The Native Americans want to build a 12-lane super highway through SP to their casino and, when SP residents refuse to leave, distribute blankets infected with Saars. "South Park is Gay": After watching Queer Eye for the Straight Guy and other such shows, the men and boys of SP become metrosexuals (except Kyle, of course). The SP women soon become fed up with their wussy men and Mr. Garrison and Mr. Slave want to take back their identity only to find out something shocking about the Queer Eye cast. "Christian Rock Hard": After being kicked out of the boys' band, Cartman starts a Christian rock band to record a platinum album first. Meanwhile, the boys get busted for downloading free music and decide to boycott playing until people stop the practice that keeps Lars Ulrich from building his gold bar or whatever. Cartman's insincerity is hilarious as always: "I Wasn't Born Again Yesterday." "Grey Dawn": Parker and Stone show again how up they are on current events when they put out this episode soon after a 75-year old drove through a farmer's market. The same thing happens here and, after the "Night of Horrors," when all old people were driving at once, killing 14 and causing $3 million in damages, the town takes away their licenses. The AARP wants to take over until they find out the Country Kitchen Buffet is closed. "Casa Bonita": After finding out Butters is invited to Kyle's birthday party at Casa Bonita instead of him, Cartman will go to any lengths to take Butters's place, including faking the end of the world and hiding Butters in a bomb shelter and an abandoned refrigerator. "All About Mormons": There's a new kid in town and Stan discovers he is very nice with a great Mormon family. When Stan's father meets them, he converts his family to Mormon, but Stan is skeptical of his new faith when he hears the story of Joseph Smith. "Butt Out!": After seeing geeks doing an anti-smoking concert at the school, the boys decide smoking must be where it's at. When they accidentally burn down the school with cigarette butts, the parents blame the tobacco companies and Rob Reiner, looking as fat as Sally Struthers, arrives to start a media war against Big Tobacco. "Raisins": Wendy breaks up with Stan (I didn't know they were still going out), and Stan is so distraught, his friends take him to "Raisins" (an adolescent "Hooters"). Stan joins a goth group and Butters believes a Raisins waitress is in love with him. "It's Christmas in Canada": The new Canadian prime minister passes a decree returning all adopted children to their Canadian birth parents. When Ike is taken from him, Kyle and the boys go on a Wizard of Oz adventure in Canada to get him back: "Follow the only road."

Season 7 is not bad.....,

I think the show improved each season. Yes, there is no doubt that Trey and Matt added more social commentary than earlier seasons but I think thats what made the show grow. South Park first came on the air when I was in middle school and the very crude non-sense humor was very funny at the time. Now that I am a junior in college I don't find the older seasons as funny to me as they used to be. I enjoy the later ones a lot more. I am not saying the old ones are bad and that the show is now high-brow humor but it does have more depth. South Park has managed to mature while still keeping its edge.
