1.0 out of 5 stars The worst South Park ever made...
Terrence and Philip, South Park's cartoon-within-a-cartoon, is one thing as bits within "normal" (a relative term here) South Park episodes. As its own half-hour special, it is something else -- and not in a good way. Like a bad Cheech & Chong movie, except with awful fart jokes instead of awful dope jokes. This episode, broadcast as an April Fool's...

Messrs. Parker and Stone go beyond their previous standards of excellence in this terrific flatulence satire involving two peripheral characters from the magnificent South Park series. The plot is topical with respect to today's political and entertainment news and serves as a fine intro to the more complex plot contained in South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut. Indeed, a prospective viewer of the latter film should probably see this one first in order to pick up all of the nuances. Not without my Anus merits serious consideration as the latest step in the long chain of excremental humor in the canon of great western literature. Clearly the authors will some day share a place of glory with Aristophanes, Martial, Chaucer, Rabelais, Swift, Mark Twain and Jaroslav Hasek as masters of this genre. No truly cultured person should miss this, although there's plenty of enjoyment for an ignoramus too.

he laughed a lot, and so did i. what a happy moment it was for both of us.

use this video to weed out people who dont count from your life. if they dont like this video, you can shed them from your life without fear of regret or otherwise negative recourse; they are walking sacks of flesh, mourn not their loss nor the deficit of their feeble ways.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ridiculously Funny, April 13, 2000

This review is from: South Park: Not Without My Anus [VHS] (VHS Tape)
The best episode of South Park without a doubt. The outcry against this episode in the middle of the "Cartman's Father" sequence just goes to show how many people, without true senses of humor, are just watching South Park just to go with the in-crowd. Trey and Matt pulled a fast-one on us, and it was absolutely hilarious. Unfortunately, people were too busy whining to enjoy it. Searching for treasure? This is it.

5.0 out of 5 stars A friend in need--is a friend with Kraft Dinner!, January 7, 2002

Hate to say it...but funnier than some South Park Episodes!
T&P's "Not with out my anus" is pure gassy fun!

Terrance is charged with murder!...and thare is enough evidence to put him away!--but he gets off anyway. (he almost got the GAS chamber [ha-ha]) The lawyer for the murderd doctors family, "Scott", is also a TV critic who also hates T&P's "fart" humor! (Gee, I wonder where that idea came from!) Well...I wont reveal much, but an illigitamite child with Celion Dion, Sadam Husain, a burn victem with the name of "Ugly Bob", the Canadain national anthem, and macaroni and cheese all come in the way of T&P's way of life!

Dont miss this one folks, regardless of whether or not you felt like you were burned by the "who is Cartmans dad" thing.
Like I said....
Its just pure fun!---now pass the beans!

5.0 out of 5 stars Would you like a monkeclaw Philip?, February 16, 2001
This review is from: South Park: Not Without My Anus [VHS] (VHS Tape)
I must say that I'm a big South Park fan but this episode is without doubt the best. For the only time so far you get to see the South Park boys cartoon heroes Terrance and Philip participate in a whole episode. The plot begins in a court of law where the famouse surgeon Terrance is accused for murder by Scott, a TV critic who hates Terrance and Philip more than everything. When Scott can't convict Terrance for murder he gets a helping hand from Iraqs dictator Saddam Hussein to get rid of T&P once and for all. T&P farts, laughs and doesn't seem to take anything serious. It's an extremly low kind of humor but it's so self ironic so it can't be missunderstood. Buy it if you like T&P and watch it many times. You will always find something in the film that you'd never noticed before.

I picked up this tape after seeing the movie (which, by the by, I would give 10 stars to). T & P are hilarious! Anyone who knows Canadians or watched the old SCTV shows will get a kick out of this episode.

I too was caught up in all the "Who's Cartman's Dad?" excitement at the start of South Park's second season. However, about 10 seconds into this I realized Trey and Matt weren't going to tell us what we'd tuned in to find out. At that point I decided I'd just sit back and enjoy their April Fools' offering. And I personally thought it was the single funniest thing I'd ever seen on TV. I was delighted to find it on video after almost a year of wishing Comedy Central would air it again. It's every bit as funny as I remembered. Everything -- Terrance and Philip's relentless flatulence humor, the cheaper-than-cheap animation (if you thought South Park was minimalist you should see *this*!), the way the tops of the characters' heads flutter as they talk, the ridiculous plot about Saddam Hussein invading Canada -- had me on the floor laughing till it hurt all over again. I honestly believe there's enough life in Terrance and Philip to do a spin-off, at least for a single season. It's certainly funnier than the more recent South Park episodes (though still a far cry from SP's absolutely priceless big-screen movie). The only thing better than watching "Not Without My Anus" is watching it while enjoying a nice plate of kroff dinner!

5.0 out of 5 stars Much Funnier Than South Park...., October 8, 1999

I was introduced to South Park through this episode and it was by far the funniest thing I've seen on T.V. (eclipsed only by the South Park Movie). Watching further S.P. episodes has just made me realize that the adventures of Kyle, Stan, etc. pale (by far!) in comparison to T&P.

4.0 out of 5 stars Should have been included with the main video releases, August 13, 1999

They think we're gonna pay $10 for this? I mean that's too much to ask even for a single episode of the regular show! Also, it IS technically an episode of the show, and WB shouldn't have broken the sequence by leaving it out of the order (though they could have put it on the VHS after the "cartman's mom" legacy so it would be a set, but.... they could have made that tape 3-episodes!)

the show itself was pretty funny though.
