This book is billed as a " Thriller". The only people thrilled by this plodding yawner would be insomniacs who stumbled across it and thought it might be entertaining reading. It features an array of unlikeable characters and a convoluted plot that simply makes no sense. There are way too many bit players, characters who ultimately seem out of place, and do not lend any continuity to the story line. The Civil War battle scenes are tedious and boring. I found myself skipping up to three pages at a time. Gun nuts and civil war buffs will probably love it, but the average reader will find it a colossal waste of time. Logan is a close friend and fishing buddy of John Sandford. The next time they are out on the lake together, Logan should try to pick Sandford's brain and try to pick up a few pointers on how to write a novel that will keep the reader coming back for more. My advice is, don't waste your time on this tepid offering.
