The bookcase is beautiful and easy to put together- EXCEPT - pay attention to the top versus the bottom of the bookcase. Two parts are labeled the same, one is the top and one is the bottom. You'll know which is which by noting that the top has 3 holes for you to put the part that hangs down from the top on, and the bottom doesn't. If you put it together wrong you have two options, pull it apart or drill through with some decent nails. I picked option two and it's fine.

Bought this for my "man cave" and set up my computer and video game systems on it. Put it together in about 30 minutes and poked some holes in the backing for the wires to run through and boom done in no time. I don't know what else to say but this is basically ikea furniture and for the price with free delivery, why drive to ikea when I can sit on my couch?! Perfect!

I purchased this for my classroom to display anatomical models and specimens. It works perfect! It looks nice, made pretty well, and easy to put together. I need two more for my classroom and will be purchasing them soon. Very impressed with this little piece of furniture.

We purchased this bookcase for our nursery. It's great and goes with our two cherry graco cribs in the room. It took my husband about 30 minutes to put it together and that was with distractions from our cats. Overall this bookcase is great, inexpensive, and serves it's purpose! I'd rather buy this bookcase on Amazon and receive free shipping than drive an hour to Ikea for something similar. It's not real wood, it's composite wood (as stated in the item's description), but for the price, it's perfect!

These bookcases are super-easy to put together and look great at first; however all three of the bookcases I bought are having issues with the shelves bowing. It looks ridiculous now that the shelves that are actually holding books (what I thought this piece of furniture was for) are noticeably sagging.

Overall this shelf is a solid piece of furniture. However I'm in law school and have A LOT of heavy text books. I tried to keep most of the heavier books on the bottom shelf but I had to put some on the middle shelf as well. The middle shelf is beginning to bend slightly after the short time I've had this product.

The shelves are sturdy and the tone and finish is attractive and exactly what I expected. The back panel is a thin flimsy cheap cardboard/pressed board material, so we opted not to affix this, so the wall shows through the shelves which looks fine. The shelves to not secure to the unit apart from sitting on top of plastic pegs, so they can be pulled out easily (I am using these for a nursery so that will not do, so my husband had to purchase t-piece tabs with screws on the back to keep them in place).

I was searching, and searching, and searching, and searching for a new book shelf. To no avail I couldn't find one in my price range nor quality range...
After feeling a bit defeated I saw this shelf and decided to gamble on it. I got it for 49 bucks with super saver shipping.
I was shocked at the overall quality of the wood- This, after assembly, is very sturdy and is holding my books no problem. I'm a bit worried about the two shelves holding some of the heavier books over time- They may bow and warp the wood for the weight over time. Just follow it's tips and put the heavier books on the bottom shelf.
Assembly is extremely easy and I did it by myself in 10 minutes. It looks like a two man job, but really it's not, the items that come in the box help keep everything sturdy and secure while you screw in the screws.
It's a great buy and for the price I am extremely satisfied.

I received the product much before the expected delivery date from Amazon (as always).
I opened it up and the first thing I noticed dissapointed me. There was a crack on the right most plank !
After careful review, I noticed that this was just a cosmetic blemish (knocked off one star for that).

I put the bookcase together alone and it didn't take more than an hour to do so. Tools required for this assembly are a hammer and screwdrivers (one standard and one philips torque).

The other thing that I don't like about the unit is that the back side is not a plank but a sheet of cardboard kind of stuff (quiet thin and flimsy, comes folded in the box). There goes another star ! This sheet has to be nailed on to the frame of the bookcase, so the chance of damaging it while disassembly is high.

All in all, the unit serves my purpose of storing DVDs and other light items. But as other reviewers have mentioned, doesn't look like this can hold heavy items on the top and middle shelf, but I guess that the bottom shelf can be used for this purpose.

this bookcase is quite a good piece. maybe can't hold a lot of very heavy book on one shelve. but for sure a strong piece for average book holding. very satisfied.
