3.0 out of 5 stars good deal
The first one we got had 9 pieces that were cracked and dented so we returned it. The return process was fairly easy and the second one we got is working out great! Very big and very white check mesurements and make sure you have enough room. Only neg... plastic sliders for the drawers (we shall see how that holds up)! Good luck!

Make sure you read the size of this changing table carefully before you make a decision. I made the mistake of glancing at the size and eye balling the dimensions in our very small nursery. However I am happy with the purchase (I did manage to find a good spot for it)!

It wasn't easy for my husband to put together and in the process he nicked the item a little but I would still recommend this purchase. For $185 with free super saver shipping you just can't beat the price.

The quality of the wood is decent and the pieces came intact. Expect to spend a while trying to put it together especially if you are doing it yourself.

Also note that the white is a true white like the picture. The drawers move in and out easily and the cabinet has 2 large shelves in it. I think it's just lovely and am happy we got it!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great product for tall people, March 30, 2011

This review is from: South Shore Furniture, Peak-a-Boo Collection, Changing Table with Drawers, Pure White (Baby Product)
I researched a lot trying to find a changing table that could provide the space needed for my small nursery, without breaking the bank. This one caugt my eye, but I was a little skeptical after reading some of the reviews. Also complicating matters was the fact that I waited until only a month before my daughter was due before I ordered most of the nursery items, and I was afraid this would not arrive in time. Well, it arrived within 2 weeks of ordering in good condition. The box was REALLY heavy, so you will need help lifting it if you're not taking the pieces out one by one.
The table looks great and all the drawers slide easily, plus it is a great height for tall people (I am 5'9 and my husband is 6'4). It makes changing diapers much easier since we don't have to bend over. There is plenty of storage for 3 baskets to put diapers, burp cloths, etc and then 3 drawers for all the clothes and other items. Plus there is a large cupboard space with 2 shelves. Realy good use of space. The changing table is long enough that I can put the wipes warmer and some diaper changing items (lotion, powder, etc) and still have room for a large changing pad. There was one small nick inside the cupboard portion of the table, but since no one can see it, it's no big deal. The wood is a composite, but looks sleek and fits well with my other baby furtniture that is real wood. The reason it gets a 4 instead of a 5 is b/c there were a million pieces and it took my husband and father-in-law 5 hours on a Saturday to put together (and they are both very handy!)--also it does smell and needs to be aired out for at least a week or 2 to get rid of the odor. Overall, great purchase for the price.

This changing table is huge, it was much bigger than I thought it would be once put together.I am 5'10" and it comes up way past my bellybutton. It is very heavy duty, but very complicated to assemble is the only drawback.

I love this changer considering the price and quality. This type of changing table usually cost a lot more than this.
My only complain is that some of the parts are damaged/chipped. Good thing is you can order the parts through the company with no charge.

Does its job and works well for the money.
You shouldn't compare it with sturdy, hard-wood stuff though.
It works well for its purpose but i would pay more for a better quality stuff if I were you.
There were some minor damages during the shipping...So it should be packed better.

2.0 out of 5 stars bad buy, January 29, 2012
This review is from: South Shore Furniture, Peak-a-Boo Collection, Changing Table with Drawers, Pure White (Baby Product)
This is a bad buy, i got it with my first born.it lasted about a yr,give or take. And i think that was only because we used gorilla glue to keep the pieces in place. It was easy to put together and easy to fall apart.the first thing to go was the door, we compromise n lived with it then it started rocking and the back piece which i made out of cardboard push out so we used tape to keep it on, its not made of real wood and when we was take it out it broke in two while carrying it down the steps it was a great laugh but not a great buy, save your money might as well build a closet system.

Nice solid table made with composite materials rather than solid wood, and it took about four hours to put together.

1.0 out of 5 stars Horrible packaging, way too heavy, came broken, September 7, 2011
This review is from: South Shore Furniture, Peak-a-Boo Collection, Changing Table with Drawers, Pure White (Baby Product)
I really wanted to love this changing table. There were lots of things that were wrong with it, and I am really disappointed. First of all, it is EXTREMELY heavy. I couldn't touch it bc I'm pregnant, and my husband pulled a muscle just moving it!! Second, it's HUGE. That's my fault for not paying more attention to the dimensions, but we just need something to fit the changing pad, which leaves another almost 2 feet of length with this monstrosity!
Finally, and most importantly, it came with a huge piece (the top, I believe) broken into pieces. We are really disappointed and not looking forward to how we are going to return this thing bc of the size, but it has to go back. Will be buying something with higher ratings and a more reputable name.

5.0 out of 5 stars Seemingly Solid Changing Table, September 6, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: South Shore Furniture, Peak-a-Boo Collection, Changing Table with Drawers, Pure White (Baby Product)
Baby furniture can be expensive. My wife and I were looking to save a little money on purchasing a changing table without sacrificing quality. After browsing through Amazon's selections and reading the reviews, we decided to pull the trigger on the South Shore Peek-a-Boo Changing Table.

First, the packaging the furniture was shipped in was a little scary. It arrived on our porch looking pretty ragged. Once I opened the package though, everything was present, accounted for, and surprisingly not broken. The package is a two person lift, though. Make sure you have a friend handy if you need to move it up stairs!

Second, assembly was a little more complex than putting together a pre-manufactured desk or bookshelf. But if you pay attention to the pre-drilled holes in the picture and correlate that to the boards you're assembling, everything will be fine. Just a quick tip, all the boards are marked with a cooresponding letter, usually stamped in black ink on an unfinished edge of the board. Assembly took my wife and I arround 3 hours (I was watching football) and I had no problems with holes not lining up. You may want to have a cordless drill handy, too.

Third, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the furniture is made in CANADA and not China. And it has a 5-year warranty! It's surprisingly sturdy once assembled and it is rather large (not for smaller nurseries). I'm looking forawrd to having baby at a good working height that doesn't require a lot of bending. And there's ample storage space for clothes like onesies, socks, diapers, and the like. I don't think we'll need to buy a baby dresser at all!

I would highly recommend this changing table!
