I read a lot of reviews about this and other such products, I have seen that mostly people who had had bad experiences would come to write a review, I decided to change it as I have been so pleased with this product and the merchant (baby age) that I definitely would like to give them both a 5 star rating. I am a software engineer and have very little exposure to assembling a furniture of this size, it was obviously not easy but luckily there were all the parts and all the screws and pictures that I needed, with little help from my wife I was able to put together this beautiful table in little less than 2 hours, so people with a little more experience would probably be get done in an hour or so. I read a review which stated that someone had to spend 6 hours to assemble this table, I think the key is not to apply your brains while assembling these devices and to rely on the pictures, it would make your life very easy, also the table is pretty stable, has a nice shine and once I wiped it clean it looks pretty good and I am pretty sure it would last many years and I probably would be able to resell it in two years time ;-), I would highly recommend this product and seller both.

1.0 out of 5 stars Buyer beware, July 28, 2011

I was very excited about this dresser set, because it was the perfect color I had been looking for and the price, as well as the reviews were great. When it arrived we were very disappointed to find the poor quality it had. The material (not wood, more like pressed cardboard) was very weak and easily breaks. One of the drawers broke while we were building it. Also, some of the parts were missing (screws needed for assembly) so we had to go out and buy these. My husband put it together while I was in the next room and all that came out of his mouth were swear words. He was extremely frustrated with it. He is a very patient man and had no problem putting together the baby's crib or the glider or gliding ottoman. Needless to say, it was very hard to put together. I would not recommend this product nor purchase it again.

3.0 out of 5 stars Hard to build and a little small, August 11, 2009

For the money, this was a very nice piece of furniture. This changing table is really beautiful once it is put together. It took quite a while to build, however, and was not the easiest construction I have ever undertaken. Also, now that my daughter is 9 months old she is already out-growing the table in terms of length-- and she is only an average height girl. So if I were to do it over, I would probably sacrifice some of the beauty for a slightly longer and more functional table.

This item looked so beautiful online. I was sad to discover it is particle board, very difficult to assemble, and when all is said & done, the drawers do not glide smoothly as they open or close. I am especially shocked that it cost as much as it did for the lack of quality.

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice but smelly, October 14, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Nice changing table, look sturdy too (haven't used it yet, since baby is still inside). Took effort to put together, but it's still ok. Just have to read the manual (compared to IKEA stuffs, that very logical and easy to put together). Major bummer: the smell is awful! Specially inside the drawers, let the drawers kept open for 2 weeks and still smelly, hope the smell will go away before baby is there (already tried to wipe it several times with water, organic cleansing spray).

3.0 out of 5 stars good changing table for price, January 29, 2009

I was really upset when I opened the box and found that this piece of furniture is all fiberboard. I was really surprised to find that once we got it put together it was actually fairly sturdy. I was very happy to find that it matched the crib we bought. There was a few dings on the product due to shipping but they were small enough that I didn't even bother trying to get new pieces. Over a good changing table for the price.

4.0 out of 5 stars Set some time aside for this one, December 18, 2011
This review is from: South Shore Furniture, Sweet Morning Collection, Changing Table, Royal Cherry (Baby Product)
The product arrived damage free. There were a few nicks & scratches that were either on it before I opened it, or happened while I unpacked it, but seriously... who cares!!! You're going to get baby poop on this thing shortly, what's a scratch going to hurt. The baby certainly won't notice it. He/she will probably put some on themselves later on.

The biggest drawback is the hours that it takes to put this thing together. I read previous reviews, so I knew it would take some time. I asked the wife to start a timer to see how long it would take me to assemble this. I knew I was in some trouble when I was 45mins in and had only put 1 drawer together. Whoever designed this assembly, needs to rethink it big time. This could be so much simpler. I mean c'mon, I put my glider together in 15mins. I wanted to punch the manufactures in the face about 1hr into this assembly. Definitely do not use a screwdriver to assemble. Break out the drill and it's much easier. Also there are a few connections that are almost impossible to make. Unless you're a tiny little elf from the north pole with baby hands.

Overall though, I'd say that I'm happy with this product. Put together, it is sturdy and looks like it should last for as long as I need it to.

This was a nice piece but it is not real wood. The dresser top was damaged on the corner and it took 3 hours to assemble!
