Overall I'm whelmed with this dresser. I was disappointed with the quality. I didn't expect much for the price, and got it. It's at or below Wal-Mart level and feels very cheap. The drawer slides are actually plastic. The veneer doesn't go the edges, so the corners are of a different color than the surfaces. Luckily, they include a brown marker to color them in. The whole thing generally feels very loose and cheap. The Amazon picture makes it look MUCH better than it actually is.

That being said, it gets the job done. Nothing was broken, it went together in about two hours, and it is now holding clothes. So it does what it's meant to do, but it's not very pretty while doing it.

This unit takes about 3 hours to assemble from start to end. If you follow the directions, assembly is pretty easy and once assembled it makes a sturdy unit. This dresser is cheaper than most similar units at Ikea and the free shipping and no sales tax makes it even better. It looks great in the bedroom, and I would recommended to anyone else looking for a nice bedroom dresser for less than $200.00

The construction material is very cheap. The laminate begins to peel before you are even finished assembling. The drawer slides are plastic, and several were broken on opening the box. The drawer pulls are tossed in together in a bag with no wrapping, so they are scuffed on opening the package.

I have assembled *many* pieces of self-assembly furniture over the years, and generally have no problems with this. The instructions were helpful, however the packaging of the hardware left something to be desired. All of the wooden pieces were labeled, this is why i give it 1 star. This took a VERY LONG TIME to assemble, as opposed to other similar pieces I have put together over the years.

Once assembled, 2 more drawer slides broke within the first 2 days of use.

NOT RECOMMENDED. Do yourself a favor and get something from I*ea instead if you want disposable furniture for a good price. Once I put this together, I sent back 2 night stands from the same collection without even opening those boxes.

This dresser is great. Better quality (hardware, laminate) than anything else I saw in this price range. Took a while to assemble, but no more complicated than any Ikea dresser assembly. Best to set all of the parts out so you can see everything.
The back legs aren't metal like the front ones, but the wood is painted silve and when it's against a wall you don't see them anyway.

We are going to buy a second one for another room.

I got a few pieces from this set. They arrived promptly as advertised. While not heirloom quality, for the price you can't beat them. The major parts consist of particle board with a thin cladding but if you take care they should last a few years. They go together easily if you read and follow the directions. They have a few nice touches like drawer buffers and precision glides. They look stylish and smart. As good as Ikea or better.

Drawers are constantly falling off the tracks. Collapsing on the drawers beneath them causing more damages such as chipping of the drawers, bottoms getting knocked out etc. I'm very disappointed with this piece. I would not recommend it to anyone.

I bought this item because I have the matching platform bed. It was realtively east to put together, about 2 hours, but only because I had already put the bed together and it was the same set up. the drawers are a bit smaller than expected, but it does the job for the price.

It's not a bad option. We had a little trouble getting everything together, since our delivery came with a couple parts damaged and a couple parts missing. After getting in touch with South Shore, we got the replacement parts within a week and finally got it assembled. It looks decent, but yeah, it can scratch pretty easy, and the edges do seem like they're going to wear off and look horrible after a while, Then again, it's big and not too expensive and looks alright.

All in all, we're satisfied.

I have assembled my fair share of flat-pack furniture. I'm handy, crafty, and literate, therefore putting a bureau together should be reasonably unremarkable. This was the most challenging piece of furniture I've ever assembled. It could have been a manufacturing fluke, but more than a few holes were not lined up properly. The drawers were especially infuriating. That being said, the dresser looks nice once it's completed. I have never experienced plastic runners before, so I'm going to try not to use it for heavy items. Overall the price is right, but the labor was a bit surprising.

It's quite big and a full size dresser, and I bought it really for the price. But then you have to put in 3 hours or more of labor to put it together, and it's not really that solid. the drawers doesn't close perfectly, and one of bottom of drawer keeps falling off, I have to push it back constantly. Obviously can't hold things that's too heavy.
It's serving it's purpose for the time being, but I'm definitely gonna get another one. When I have spare money, that is.
