While I did not think this item would be solid Cherry, I had hoped at this price it would be, at least, Cherry veneer. It is press board just like most at Walmart. I think I got took at this price. I learned to really read carefully before I order anything.

The directions were not very helpful but the bookcases were easy to put together and are deep which is helpful.

This is a wonderful bookshelf. It is a reasonable price and a little better made then the cheap shelves you can buy at Target/Walmart etc. I bought it to go in my newborns nursery and it just really pulled the room together. The shelf helps me to organize various items and will be used to grow with my child as I place more age related books on it!

Crappy deal for the price. Came with no directions, a million peices, and once assembled was NOT deep at all. Cheaply made, worse than IKEA- total rip off. The only reason we are not returning it is the idea of getting it all back apart and into the box to return is too horriffic. Into the basement it goes.

This bookcase is a very good buy! It looks more expensive than it is and matches my Better Homes and Gardens (which I believe is manufactured by South Shore) cherry furniture perfectly. I am VERY happy with my purchase!

We bouth this bookcase to match the South Shore desk and hutch we have. It was just as much of a pain to put together than the desk and hutch was.

The pieces could have been arranged better (safer) inside the box (we had a few nicked pieces) but once the product is put together it looks great and can support quite a few books.
