This armoire was a little challenging to assemble because the directions are weird. All parts are referred to by number and you have to flip back to the second page to identify the part. The actual assembly is fairly easy but the instructions are not very clear or helpful.

I added a bead of wood glue to the drawer seams to help keep them from falling apart and used staples instead of nails when attaching the rear cardboard panel. Staples fasten just as good or better and are easier to use than a hammer and tiny nails.

One good thing about this South Shore Furniture Company is that they provide an 800 Phone help-line if you need help or replacement parts. They also offer a 5-year limited guarantee.

I like the look of this armoire but not the quality. The drawers pull really hard and fiberboard is not very nice.

I give it 4 stars because there are both pros and cons but overall I like it.

I bought this armoire for my son. The shipping box and some items arrived damaged. My son called the company, and they sent the replacement parts (just some trim) without charge and quickly. The unit is well built. Looks more expensive than it is. It is a medium size unit being used for towels for the bathroom and placed in the hallway. It is a great deal for the money.

We needed extra storage in our office, and this really helps. The pulls match the cabinets in the house, so that was a nice bonus. The quality is appropriate for the price.

This arrived with two damaged pieces so I called South Shore directly and was greeted by a pleasant French Canadian. Two new pieces arrived just over a week later and I was able to assemble the unit in about 3 hours. It fits together quite well for the most part. The quality is similar to furniture from Ikea. It looks decent but isn't the best quality. However, the price was low so I can't complain.

Looking for somewhere to store your towels, tablecloths, placemats, etc.? This South Shore Furniture piece is perfect. It takes some time to put together, but that is because it is well-designed and constructed. When my husband and I finished putting this armoire together, we had in front of us something where the doors hung properly and the drawers glided in and out. The kit arrived from Amazon in beautiful condition with all parts accounted for. The only thing better than one of these would be two.

My husband prefers to stack his clothing. He doesn't want to hang or put in drawers, he enjoys stacking. I don't get it, but I've looked for something like this for months. This is the best quality for the best price. Has nice heavy hinges.

Cheapish product- I wish I had just saved my money and gotten something that was made of real wood, but you get what you pay for. This product was a bit more than if I had picked a comparable one up at a B&M store, but with shipping included-well, there is something to be said for convenience. Goes together per the instructions. A shelf was cracked down the middle, however, that is soooo common with particle board furniture. We have been using it that way for a year now and it has held up for our use. There was a company number to call for parts, I just didn't ever get around to doing it. I gave this two stars when I first purchased but have up-ed it to 4 stars a year later, because it has been sturdy and works well for its intended use. If you are on a budget, this isn't a bad deal.

I purchased this piece of furniture and have regretted it ever since. The package arrived in a huge box with no main entry seam (meaning you have to rip into the large box, damaging it beyond repair or reuse upon arrival). Upon opening the box, we found that several prominent pieces of the furniture were damaged (scratched, dinged & dented). Not sure if they were shipped that way or damaged during shipping, but it's poor no matter which way you look at it. Assembly took roughly 4 hours (WAY too long) only to find out that the doors don't hang correctly. I called the company to complain, and they promised to send me replacement doors they said would fit properly. I waited for over a week to receive the replacement doors, only to find that these were exactly the same in that they don't fit either! They say you can supposedly adjust the door height using the hardware, but that is just not true. Messing with the screws does not adjust the doors enough to make them functional. So NOW, I am left with a partially assembled and completely non-functional piece of furniture, two sets of doors and trim, and NO suitable box to ship this back to Amazon for a full refund. Talk about a pain. I will never purchase furniture from this company or Amazon again. Now I have to take everything apart, somehow find a box to fit it in, and drive it to UPS myself! I am a very unhappy customer! :(
