This is a really good taxation book with every point followed by an example. Tax laws are complex and you need an example for every scenario. It's well organized and clearly explains concepts. I suggest you also get the supplemental study guide (sold separately) because it provides practice questions and well-organized chapter review.

This book came 3 days earlier than expected delivery date, and was in excellent condition.

I needed this book for an online tax accounting class. This book is a great tool for learning and/or teaching! Great diagrams/charts, easy-to-understand examples. Very comprehensive! I highly recommend this book.

The book arrived quickly and wasn't too marked up but the binding was falling apart and the pages were starting to come out. I will work for now.

I have college degree and am adding Accounting onto my business degree. I am using this text with Aplia Cengage online.

I have read and can only echo how terrible and incomplete the examples are in this book. It just fails on every level to explain things straight up. In contrast is my Intermediate Acct. book by Wiley which is great and breaks problems down and explains them simply.

I kept thinking the next chapter will be clear and concise. Nope, still terrible.

I had purchased the above book from Amazon; it was described/advertised as NEW; in my third week into my semester I noticed that the page after the CD included had been ripped off; I am guessing this page contained the code to access the program...Can I get a replacement code to access the CD?

I have been buying this textbook annually for the last five years. Every year I'll sit down and read the entire book to update my tax knowledge for the upcoming tax season. The text explains the basic tax knowledge in a clear and concise way replete with examples. Can't go wrong with this book if what you want is a refresher course on basic tax concepts.

I am now working on my third degree and this is by far the worst textbook I have ever read in my entire academic career. The "authors", and I use that term loosely, go on and on about items that do not matter and skip on the important details. Many of the concepts are written in negative logic so hopefully you have some programming skills to figure that out. Many other concepts are not fully explained so you have to fill in the gaps with your own guessing and hope it's correct. Trust me, Google will be your best friend because you will have to do your own extensive research just to figure out what the authors are trying to communicate.

These authors have a PhD but honestly, I don't think they ever took a basic written communications class because they write nothing in a straight forward manner. It's like trying to communicate with someone that is speaking with a mouth full of food, "what did you say? Did you mean this? Is this what I'm hearing?" Of course, you won't get an answer because they just move on the to next subject.

The homework is a joke. Not so much the problems, but the lack of information provided to solve the problems. You have to guess at everything and hope you have it right. One example: we had to calculate taxable income and E & P and meals and entertainment was included. What the authors "forgot" to mention was that you only use 50% of that number. I spent hours on this problem and was off by $1500. Finally, I went out to Google and found out it was only 50% and got my numbers right. Yes, that's what I love. Spending all this money on a textbook that does not provide the information that I need, waste time on homework, get frustrated, have to search Google, and then get it right.

It seems the whole approach to "teaching", again I use that term loosely, by these authors is the "lets not provide enough accurate information, let's see how many times we can trick them, let's see how many times we can keep them guessing, and let's do nothing to build their corporate tax skills because all we're interested in is getting money for this piece of crap textbook." I don't know what rock these "authors" crawled out from under, but please, do the textbook world a favor and go crawl back because you have added no value to education.

I have seen many Tax Law and Tax Prep books in the few years that I have been doing Tax returns for a large franchise and I find this book to be the best informative tax text their is. I am a senior in college and have used this text for both of my tax courses. It is not a text that teaches you to do tax returns but it is extremely thorough regarding tax law. The first step is not to learn how to prepare tax returns but to understand tax law, this text was designed with this understanding. Compared to most tax texts, it is the most "comprehensive" and understandable translation of the tax code.

Great seller, ships quickly, book was in top condition with all cd's and passwords unused and in tact.
