Exceptional Blues, November 10, 2005

As far as I'm concerned, Leroy Carr needs no
introduction, but if you need an introduction to Leroy
then listen to the samples Amazon provides.
Leroy and his friend/accompanying guitarist, Scrapper
Blackwell, were a 'supreme' duo - and they've left a real
leagacy in terms of their output. These guys embodied
the true and real essence of what it meant to be blues performers. Music like this is no longer made - CAN no
longer be made. These are precious and rare sounds
in an age often filled with jarring and confusing
noise.
