I was looking for vietnamese cooking and found a wealth of interesting recipes. My husband is chinese so of course I can only come close to authentic orental food, but even he enjoyed this book.

Wonderful recipes, informative illustrations, great color photos and a fascinating narrative. I have owned this book for two decades and still find new things to delight me. I only just learned that the author passed away earlier this year. I am dedicated to try the recipes I never had time for.

I have really enjoyed the Southeast Asia Cookbook for a couple of reasons. One is that the recipes are delicious and well described. Second is that the author gives, at the beginning of each regional chapter, some background info on history, culture, customs, and typical foods for that region. It has become my go-to cookbook for Asian cuisine.

The book was in great shape, as described. Clean and without odor which can occur in older books. Shipped quickly and conscientiously with nice packing preventing the book from getting destroyed. Received statement in the book signed by shipper thanking for the purchase. Good price, quick ship, very satisfied.
