This is a tiny book (much smaller than I thought (it's about 3" x 4")! Each page has an example of a different experience you they recommend in Southeast Asia. I am interested in planning a trip and this book is not helpful even for narrowing down which countries to go to. I am a 28 year old looking to travel with my wife on a 2-3 week trip after I finish graduate school. I am not interested in many of the experiences in the book. They really do mean "ROUGH," as in "roughing it." If you're planning a trip, I think you're better off buying a book about the specific country you want to go to. This book does not have enough detailed information to be useful.

Had I seen this book ahead of time I would not have purchased it.
It told me nothing about anything new, I had been researching myself and knew all the stuff it said. I also felt it was poor value

Great if you want a list of good places in SE Asia but after that it provides nothing. Not any details about how to get there, where to stay anything. Nothing more than a list with 25 pictures.

My friend and I are going to Asia this summer and I gave her this little book for Christmas (only $5.95!). It was cute and small and easy to flip through on her work breaks. It was a good starting point to help get our planning process going. Only a quick page overview on each place so it is definitely an "idea" book. But it gave us some great ideas.
