Southeastern Wildflowers, May 15, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Southeastern Wildflowers (Paperback)
This book is a gem! Southeastern Wildflowers is a very informative and useable book. Its small format and plastic cover make it even useable in the garden! The author covers basics of culture and propagation in a "reader friendly" way. The language is informative and concise, without talking over the heads of beginners. Cultural requirements and propagation notes for featured plants are covered in depth, and in most cases, the author also lists several related species, with notes on differing cultural requirements for those as well. I think this will become one of the books I use most often for growing and propagating native wildflowers. The only shortcoming I can mention is that I didn't find a couple of my (more obscure) favorites there, but many, many plants and families are covered. How wonderful to find a really great reference book at such an affordable price too.
