Southern Bronze is an in-depth history of Garden's (S.C.) Battery during the Civil War. The unit, from Sumter, South Carolina, took part in all the major campaigns of the Army of Northern Virginia. They were the last off the field at Shaprsburg, farthest to advance at Gettysburg, fought one of the last engagements of the war on April 8, 1865, and was one of the largest artillery companies to lay down their arms at Appomattox.
