Biography

The group was started with Howard, his wife Vestal, his sister Gussy and a bass singer circa 1946. Howard and Vestal became a duet in the early '50s. In the early '60's brothers Sam(tenor), Rusty(bass), (bass player and soloist) and son Rick (percussion) joined the group and they became The Happy Goodman Family.
