For years I have saved copies of Southern Living magazine solely for the great recipes. I love the hardbound version as it is organized and easy to find a recipe favorite!

I'm a cookbook collector who loves to come across good cookbooks. I have over 500 in my collection. The Southern Living Annuals are one of my very favorite! In fact I have just about all of them. As always the Southern Living Annual Recipes 2009 has great recipes. Some of the ones that I can't wait to try are: Brandy Alexander Cheescake, Praline-Apple Bread, Blackberry-Peach Coffee Cake, Grilled Apple Salad,and the Mini Crab Cakes with Garlic-Chive Sauce. These are just a few of the ones that I'm anxious to try. The only down-side to this cookbook is (in my opinion) there's not enough photos of the recipes.

I buy these books every year (since 1979). It is a nasty habit which I know that I won't stop. I always try one or two recipes especially the cakes recipes. I love to look at the photos and enjoy the great cooking tips and ideas. But please be aware once you buy one of these books you are going to be hook and will be getting one every year!
