Since then, he has worked as a freelance writer and multimedia storyteller, contributing sound- and motion-rich stories to NPR, Southern Living, Coastal Living, Preservation, and Cooking With Paula Deen, among other outlets. Tanner is currently producing a podcast - The Authentic South -- that explores the culture of the South through food, art, music, the landscape, quirky characters and big personalities.

Spokesperson Allison DeMarcus - CMT personality and host of the network's Reel Eats, which combines select CMT movies and featured recipes prepared by Allison, as well as interviews with country's favorite stars, the latest Hollywood and country music news, and more. I've been a cookbook collector since I was very small. Being from the south you grow up in the kitchen in a way.

I love the photos and the info on the artists is a nice added bonus. Some I would've left out because either they're unknowns or they were one hit wonders.

Amy Grant's pot roast must be awesome because it's been featured several times in several magazines and cook books (one of which I have already) and perhaps a different recipe could've been put in it's place.

Made the no bake cookies which half turned out because it was missing the one ingredient that holds no bake cookies together (peanut butter) I understand it was made in mind for those with tree nut allergies but if you make it look up the recipe online and ad peanut butter to it so your not ending up with alot of crumbles. It was great on ice cream though which is a great use for that. Also I'd use almond milk instead of soy since soy isn't good for you.

Honey chicken was pretty good just hold the sauce and find something else. Maybe it's because I'm just not a fan of soy sauce....

There are several in there I cannot wait to make and the great thing I like is it's not expensive. All the recipes seem to be reasonable in price for the ingretients needed.

Yes I would recommend this to a friend.

It's ok. I wonder how well a cookbook I wrote would sell if I gave it a fancy name--that is if I ever felt like writing one. :) Nothing new in this other than county, music and Southern Living on the cover. Oh well. I fell for it. Not worth returning.

This is all about "comfort food" and does it well. Sometimes when I read cookbooks, I don't make the recipes - not so with this book!

I have tried about 10 so far, with perfect results. The stories and pictures are terrific, and I admit to being a CMT fan, so that makes the book all the more special.

The Amazon price was BETTER than a well known Television Shopping Network, and I was happy to get the book on the day of publication, with Amazon Prime.

Southern Living tends to have the best cookbooks ( in my opinion ) and this one is a great addition to an already diverse library.

Nothing here is "hard" to make, but it is all GOOD.

Well worth consideration as a gift for those "hard to buy for". They will love it, and you will too!

I love cookbooks anyway, but this is a really good variety of recipes, as well as a variety by people in the country music industry whose music you can cook to while you are listening to the artist.

I enjoy this book. I enjoy the recipes also. Since I was born and raised in the country I already knew how to make most of them, but some were improved. Thank you for this book.

Completely enjoyed everything of the book. Great write ups of the stars. Thought it was even great for the amount of pages. Awesome production.

I expected it be filled with old southern recipes, instead it had blogs of country singers and a recipe. I hadn't even heard of most of these singers. Had mostly chili recipes, nothing I really wanted to cook up. I lived in North Carolina for 18 months and loved their food. I saw nothing like those dishes in the book. I was sorry I bought it.
