This is a great addition to your cookbook staples. It has a myriad of different recipes, all of which are very easy and fast to prepare. I made the barbecue beef sandwiches the other day and they were just wonderful, they melted in your mouth like chocolate. The pictures are very good and the recipes are very detailed. I appreciate the attention to detail this book has to make your life loads simpler. When you're in a hurry for a good meal, grab this book and go. You won't be disappointed!

I feel like a true gourmet chef when I prepare these recipes, but they're all so easy! Everything I've tried so far has been delicious. Many of them can be prepared from items I already had, but in combinations I hadn't thought to put together. For example the Curried Tuna and Apple sandwiches were amazing!

I have tried three recipes about of this book (I have only had the book for two weeks) and was very pleased! I made the Chicken Fried Steak 'n' Country Gravy, Spaghetti with Fresh Tomato Sauce and Chicken Parmesan. Very tasty and soooooo easy!!! The meals look like they took a long time to cook!

I've loved other Southern Living cookbooks and read some reviews that greatly overrated this book's appeal. I wasn't able to preview a copy at my library and was very unhappy with the results. Boring pedestrian recipes that might be quick and easy but look tasteless and boring. I was hoping for some quick innovative ideas but instead was presented with many recipes that involved mixing "a can of" with processed frozen foods. Yuck!!! Definitely not up to the usual standards of Southern Living.

I checked this out of the library over the weekend~it was one of 12 cookbooks I checked out. This is the only one of the 12 I plan to buy. Almost every recipe sounded great (and easy) and didn't require weird ingredients. I like gourmet food as much as the next person, but can't find many gourmet items in my local stores, and don't want to spend excess money ordering them. These are not your average quick and easy dishes...they are special, company-worthy quick and easy dishes. Can't wait for my copy to arrive~I doubt the library would like stains and spatters on theirs!

This is actually one of the few quick and easy cookbooks... that are actually quick and easy. All the recipes I have made thus far have come out and been rated at least "good" with some "great!" new family favorites thrown in. A great book for someone, like me, who works but also wants to put something fast, delicious, and varied on the table at night.

I've had this cookbook for about 3 months now, and couldn't be more pleased. The Provencale Chicken Supper couldn't be easier and tastes like you spent at least an hour preparing it (throw a few ingredients in the crockpot and wait!)My husband raves over the pork chops and gravy (also a slow-cooker recipe) and quite a few of the others I've tried have been very good. So far I've only come across one I wouldn't make again (Thai Coconut Shrimp) and I recommend this cookbook to anyone who likes to make homemade meals, but doesn't want to (or can't) spend a lot of time in the kitchen. I'm an at home Mom with a 2 and 4 year old, so getting dinner together can be a little hectic and this cookbook makes that a lot easier. Buy and enjoy!

I like flavor! I love to eat good food! And I am all about saving time but come on- does this mean I have to use so much tasteless processed food! Very disappointing.

This is a very good cookbook which has lots of good recipes some I have tried many more I hope too try. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is that it didn't give nutrition information for every recipe which I find unhelpful.

This is a great cookbook. My sister-in-law recommended it to me. I made a shrimp dish for my friends and they also requested a copy of this cookbook. The other day the same friend told me it's her faviorte cookbook. The recipes are easy to understand, easy to prepare and are very tasty.
