This is a GREAT on-the-go cookbook. My mom let me borrow her copy and she never got it back! It's filled with lots of easy, quick recipes that I can always find the ingredients for already in my kitchen. I also care for two small boys, ages 3 and 6, who will actually eat from the recipes in this book. They're favorite--Nacho chicken on pg. 80. And the recipes are so simple that you can easily commit your favorites to memory. So, that's why I've come to this site. Mom's getting a new copy for Christmas!

This cookbook is one of the best cookbooks I own. I love to buy cookbooks. I read them like I would a novel. These recipes are easy and practical. I would recommend this to everyone who needs to cook easy meals.

My husband uses this one even more than I do; we just bought a copy for our son & (brand new) daughter-in-law -- just the thing for busy newlyweds (& not-so-newlyweds!)

I LOVE this book! It's just so nice to be able to grab a cookbook when you're in a huge hurry for dinner to be ready fast, that provides you wonderful menus and easy directions for meals in no time flat. The food is wonderful and there are even recipes for making them a little less fattening. If you can't find it here on amazon, check ebay and oxmoorhouse.com. You can almost always find one on these two sites.

As a seasoned cook I really enjoy using this cookbook for a quick meal after work; however, I recently realized what a treasure this book is to give as a wedding gift! Many young brides prefer spending as little time in the kitchen as possible. In fact, I have learned that many people appreciate a cookbook of this caliber and am only too happy to accomodate that preference when gift-giving time comes around. The folks at Southern Living can always be counted on for excellent cookbooks.

I have only just ordered this book but I can write a review based on the reason I did. I walked into someones office at work last week and found two guys flipping through the book. The one man had recently bought it and was pointing out the recipes he'd tried and how quick they were to prepare. The other man was saying oh, that looks like it would be good! When you find a cookbook that has two guys who write computer programs for a living praising it, it's a sure sign someone did something right. I decided on the spot I had to have this book.

I absolutely love this book. The recipes are so simple and quick. I would love to give it as a gift but can no longer find it.

I have given this book as a gift to most of my family members! It is a great thing to have on your counter when mealtime comes around! The recipes are varied and delicious. I have made almost all of them and it is hard to choose the ones I like the best because they are all so good. It is clear, consise, and easy to read while you are cooking. It is also easy to understand the directions. Highly recommended for beginning cooks up to extremely experienced cooks!

I first came across this book through a friend. She had it displayed on her kitchen counter and said she'd made the enchiladas from the book and that they were really good. I looked through the book and was impressed with the seemingly simple recipes. I began to copy some down and she let me borrow the book.

Let me say that my husband is very picky and hard to please. It seems that everything I make never got a great reaction. Everything seemed to be, "Yeah, it's good." I always felt that he wasn't totally satisfied. He's more of a fast-food guy and he likes the familiarity of it. Because of how he is, I would go through phases of buying nothing but pre-packaged, ready to heat foods. I decided to end that after seeing this book.

I shop every 2 weeks and made my entire dinner list from this book. EVERYTHING has been great. The enchiladas are awesome, the Creamed Chicken & Biscuits has great flavor, the meatball subs are super easy and good. This has recharged my cooking drive and I'm on my third week of using recipes from this book. I can't believe what a gem this book is and I so wish I'd found it sooner. Most of the recipes are simple, affordable, and contain minimal ingredients. To be able to make a meal for $6-$10, have some left over for lunch the next day or two, and be able to have my family enjoy it...is priceless. It beats spending $15-$20 for everyone to eat fatty junk that God knows what Burger-Flipper-Guy did with your food...and then everyone still being hungry.

I love this book, still have it, and don't plan to return it to my friend before getting one myself! Ha! I HIGHLY recommend it.

This was a gift from my mother, and I have tried MANY of the recipes-- all of which have been easy & delicious. My sister is addicted to hers as well, and I plan to buy another copy as a wedding gift.
