From the Back Cover

Now revised and updated, the AMC Southern New Hampshire Trail Guide describes nearly 200 trails in central and southern New Hampshire's spectacular and accessible mountains, state parks, and Lakes region. Compiled by the same expert editors as the popular AMC White Mountain Guide, this comprehensive guide provides detailed coverage of the region's three major peaks – Mounts Cardigan, Monadnock, and Kearsarge – as well as the trail systems of the three largest state parks – Pisgah, Bear Brook, and Pawtuckaway – and much more. New to this edition, each section includes a list of suggested hikes for all ability levels, making it easy for beginner and experienced hikers alike to plan just the right hike. The guide's full-color, pull-out, GPS-plotted contour maps of Mounts Cardigan and Monadnock are also revised, making them the most up-to-date maps available to these popular hiking areas.

Inside you'll find:

Completely updated descriptions of more than 190 trails
25 new trials throughout the region
Updated, full-color, GPS-plotted maps

This review is from: Southern New Hampshire Trail Guide, 2nd: AMC Guide to Hiking Mt. Monadnock, Mt. Cardigan, and the Lakes Region (AMC Hiking Guide Series) (Paperback)
Another exhaustive, comprehensive hiking guide fabulously done by Steve Smith for the Appalachian Mountain Club (AMC). Wonderful accompaniment to Steve's White Mountain Guide to the north. If you want to hike in Southern New Hampshire, this is your guide.
