With this CD, Billy Ray Cyrus continues the journey he began with Trail Of Tears...and that's a journey into discovering his true artistic intent.

Southern Rain - the title track and a song he wrote - is an incredibly touching, personal, heartfelt tune so moving that you can't help but feel of a place and time - whether you've been there or not.

All of the tempo songs rock, but his moments as a balladeer is where he truly shines.

You Won't Be Lonely Now and Love You Back - the latter with more than a touch of R&B - are two prime examples.

Well-done, Billy Ray! Good to have you back.

Wow!This cd is jammed packed with hits.Song after song there is so much emotion and expression being given.It is really hard to pick a favorite.First song is "You Wont Be Lonely Now"..This is where the emotion starts.You can feel the intensity and emotion. "We The People "is a great working peoples song .It really gets you motivated to get out there and make a difference ."Burn Down The Trailer Park" is a great fun song.The song " I Will" is a great love song about the depth of love."All I'M Thinking About Is You" is a really unique song .Starts out with Billy story telling and then goes in a intensified chorus line.Very unique!! "Without You" A very heartfelt love song .This song delves into the pain and loss of love.Always thinking of that special love and wanting to hear from them again.The song has a lot of emotional punch to it...."Hey Elvis" What can I say ? One heck of a fun song...Written by Bryan Adams and Gretchen peters..If you like Bryan Adams style of rocking music you will love this..Yes they are talking about The King "Elvis".... Buy this CD :You wont be sorry.As you listen over and over I bet it will be hard for you to pick a favorite.

It's about TIME! I am certain this new offering will quell the rumors that BRC is a "one hit wonder"...He has FINALLY hit the mark! This CD is right on target! Billy Ray Cyrus' "Southern Rain", is testimony to his talents as a singer/songwriter and musician. Each song is unique, each song has a story, a feeling all it's own. Glad to see Billy Ray back on the charts with You Won't Be Lonely Now...There will surely be several singles (and No. 1 hits!) from this cd. Watch out..BRC has ARRIVED!!

I love this new CD of Billy Ray's. I own all of Billy Ray's CD's, and I am a great fan! "Southern Rain" is a great song, as well as "You Won't Be Lonely", but my outright favorite song on this CD is "HEY ELVIS", which I think should be released as a single. It is the style of Billy Ray I love best, hard, fast, rocking...and it showcases his strong voice. I can't stop playing "HEY ELVIS", with my volume maxed out...our house gets rockin' and that is the way I like my country!

It was fantastic. I think it is by far the best music Billy Ray has done. You can't help but start to dance as you are listening to the music. It just rocks.

This is a great CD! For those who can only think of Achy Breaky Heart listen to this and find out how much more there is to Billy Ray Cyrus' music. Highly recommend it.

I bought 5 copies of Southern Rain - one for work, one for home, one for car and 2 for gifts. This is Billy Ray's greatest CD yet. His strong emotion along with his powerful voice and the great songs makes this the Best CD that i own!!!

I became Billy Ray's fan since "Some Gave All". I am not an American but the title track really moved me. And I found that the man has an incredibly expressive and beautiful voice. "It won't be the last" was another great one, but after that album it seemed to me Billy almost forgot that he could really sing and kept growling. I wish there were more songs which could REALLY showcast Billy's vocal and emotions, like "She's not crying anymore", "Ain't no good goodbye", "Somebody new" etc.

With "Southern Rain", I can finally relate this guy to the great singer I once admired. His vocal really shines in this album, with even deeper emotions. The songs are all lovely. He sang quite a few big ballads, and they are all great and they suit him so well. Besides the title cut, I especially love "Love you back", the way he sustained the highest note in the song is so powerful and moving. He's the kind of singer who can make an ordinary tune sound so beautiful. And with quality songwriting like in this one, you owe yourself checking it out.

To me, Billy Ray Cyrus is more than just a country rocker, he is defintely a very accomplished vocalist with a remarkable voice that shames most of the other pop singers. I always wonder why he isn't as big as he deserves to be. He truly has the superstar quality - he writes good music, he sings well, he looks good and he has a big heart! Need I say more?

Those who snoot and dismiss Cyrus without paying attention to his music don't know what they are missing.

I am embarrassed to admit that this is the first Billy Ray Cyrus music I have ever bought. I am a first timer. I must say, however, that I couldn't have bought a better CD. It is absolutely incredible! I've been watching DOC on PAX and heard some of his singing. That's what prompted me to try this CD. Like so much of the world I had been linking him to Achy Breaky Heart. It was okay, but nothing to get excited about. Well, Southern Rain is. The vocals are wonderful. What a voice. Very versatile. It has humor, ballads and foot-tapping songs. My favorite song used to be Lady in Red, now You Won't be Lonely Now has taken that spot. You MUST get this one!

It is frustratingly IRRITATING when a singer is so obviously talented and, yet, is not accepted soley on that basis.

Billy Ray Cyrus has a singing voice that most country entertainers (who are considered to be singers) should envy.... but, I digress...
This latest album is a definitive demonstration that BRC can and does sing a wide variety of music with an equally diverse range of emotion. However, one thing he can't do is be cornered into being strictly country. That's a good thing, too.

Do NOT listen to or buy this CD if you don't like great music by an excellent singing voice packaged in a handsome, talented, personable package.
