Southern Rock "from the heart", February 22, 2008

I normally don't purchase collections that only contain 10 songs but this CD was well worth the low price for the high ("tides")of these hard to find gems of a great genre (Southern Rock). After purchasing a double disk collection of Allman Brothers I was still missing their charted song "Straight From the Heart" so I was pumped that it was on there (considering it is not even on the four disk box set either). This CD also contains another good Allman Bros. song not easily found "Angeline." The other 8 selections are: 2 live versions of .38 Special performing classics "Caught up in you" and "If I'd been the one"; as well 2 live versions of the "new" Lynyrd Skynyrd doing "You got that right" and "Free Bird"; Atlanta Rhythm Section and The Outlaws also contribute 2 songs each including "So into you" and "Hurry Sundown." Overall this may be short on number of songs but the quality and the low price more than make up for that and getting the Allman classic(s) is big.
