What Robert Crook has given us [and history] is an excellent mosaic of the Antebellum and Post-War South and her people.

The concept of the book is to put out vignettes of the lives [and motivations] of as many of his Confederate ancestors as possible.

Crook has done that job well and he has done an admirable job of bringing these "voices" to us in our time.

And my, my! What those voices do tell us!

Definitely NOT what is taught in the factory schools and the factory media!

Bravo Mr. Crook; you've done your ancestors - and all people who yearn for freedom everywhere - proud!
